fook ned look at this one - http://cgi.ebay.com/...=item3f11bf9e6c

theres your next project m8, alcohol injection!!!

    450bhp, 255mph :O

    Quote :

Bike has been tuned all the way to 30psi (~460+rwhp). It is currently set at 25psi (~430rwhp)and is fully adjustable and FULLY INSANE! It runs on e85. All tuning was done on closed streets by me and a professional tuner. After 16psi he refused the ride the bike for logging as it scared the pis$ out of him! By far the fastest thing you will ever ride on earth. Literally BLINDING acceleration. We're talking less than 1 pound of bike per rwhp here - and 100% traction: INSANITY!

    LOOOOLZ!!! :D

just seen the awesome 450 bhp r1.thought this thread was well forgoten about..e85 is the fuel of the gods. ive had a chat with a guy from the states that runs 12 psi on a stock comp 03 r1 on e85 and it makes 260 bhp. the limiting factor to any forced induction engine is dettonation. e85 is virtualy dett proof...i wish we had it at the pumps

450 bhp can the back wheel even get traction or even keep the two wheels on the ground

i know!!! that kind of power is just mind bending. you would think the gearbox or clutch or the rear wheel adjusters would simply explode under that kind of power..wonder what torque it puts out

fantastic mate ! Some very nice work there, i have lots of admiration for people who tackle problems themselves and not just throw money at someone else to sort it. However, you wouldnt get me anywhere near it, i wont even stand next to it for fear of being sucked in haha .... keep up the good work (sorry i didnt look at date of thread so hope you've still got it and this is all still relevent lol)

oh yes it is still very relevant ..the work goes on.i think i must have some kind or disorder cos i cant just say right thats it its done and leave it alone. for the past month i have been making some more improvements on the air intake and plenum ..pics will follow

View attachment 1366 View attachment 1367 View attachment 1369 View attachment 1370 View attachment 1371 i have had a new plenum made .which is a massive improvement on the old one for build quality and air flow
also the charge pipe is now 50mm id and has a far less restrictive route to the plenum which all adds to a more efficient system.the water injection has a higher flowing nozle { 150 cc per min@100 psi } and a bigger solenoid to actuate the water flow. vvtr water alkahol inj ...already done it....its better running 50/50 water alky, but i just use water cos its free. with this new setup i should make roughly the same hp as before but with only 5 psi

bonkers lol!! very impressive build all the same.
i remember going on about water injection in the 80 and got yeh right fk off dickhead lol water doesnt burn :/
    whats next then? NITROUS? :D

or be a bit different and go for hydrogen peroxide injection - good enough for sikorsky & de havilland.
most of the stuff you hear about is bunging more fuel in or blowing more air in.... h2o2 is injected before the turbo & it increases the oxygen level of the air you're stuffing in so you can run a much richer mix and get shitloads more power at the same pressures
    ;)

i was thinkin about anti lag...look that up its fuckin awwesmoe..not very practicle for a bike
    .but is sounds great ...bang...bang

Yeh there's some ace anti-lag vids on youtube, that sierra cossie parked in front of the plants is a bit mental haha
are you welding all the ally stuff urself mate ? always wanted a TIG welder with ally ability (its AC aint it that makes it different??) but couldnt justify the price for how much id use it
never heard of h2o2 but i aint big on tuning
im gonna keep following this, and i want a vid at some point ;)

i would love to do a vid but i am a bit scared of incriminating meself..120 mph wheelies dont go down well with the rozzers...when the weather gets a bit warmer i will be here and there meeting up with some fellow nwb,ers so you can see it in the flesh. sadly i didnt do the welding on this setup.
i did with the first headers with mild steel and a mig but it was rough a fek.

If you spray wd40 over the area were your goin to weld with any mig it stops the spatter on the job or turn the amps down a tad.

the mig welder i have is just plain shite..think i am going to invest in a tig jobby some time this summer..maybe do a course so i can fab everything meself

Tig is so easy mate its just the gas for it if you dont get the fow rite it blasts out it goes no were it might be a few things with the mig wire speed amps or goin too fast or the way your doin it

havin good equipment makes all the deference with welding. the mig i have is a ckarke from machine mart and i have spoke to a friend who has some experience with welding and he agrees that it is a piece of sh*t.it wont feed the wire at a steady rate or give a good flow of gas to cloak the ark . causing a bird sh*t like blobby weld..its no biggy tho cos i only borrowed it..two years ago...lol...

I know haven a good set makes all the difference as I am a welder but cheep sets are only good for low amps and thin plate.

buildin yourself a turbo system would be a piece of p*ss for someone in your trade.i spoke to a guy in florida who has boosted a bussa a two gixer thous and a gixer 600 and he said the 600 was the most fun of all the bikes he ever rode

been havin a bit of a mare with the new setup...whent to the dyno on monday and it highlighted a few isues which i have sorted now.
the first thing was the uncontrollable boost needle.i tried everything.it turned out to be a boost leak at the bov.the more boost it made the more it would leak causing an unsteady air flow to the tb,s which made the boost needle wobble a lot..
next there was some smoke on overrun and a bit of oil weeping from the compressor..a smaller restrictor.1.2 mm.. in the oil line sorted that out.when i took the compressor housing off the gasket was shafted which might have caused a bit of boost leakage too. a new gasket has now been fitted.
to top it all off the water injection whent tits up on the dyno aswell ,that was only a failed boost switch which is now on order.because there was no w/i and the boost leak i couldnt run anymore than 6.5 psi.it made 219.9 bhp at the wheel tho which i am very happy with . on the last dyno run it made 217 at 8.5 psi so there is a massive improvement.i am very confident that once the w/i is working it would easily make 240 at 8 to 9 psi..shame i couldnt do it on the dyno eh..[IMG]
