Wish I could come on this one but I'm out on Saturday so gona be ruff as fook Sunday Sent from...brads.pad
That's a good time and start point.. Now I'm back in prison ( travelodge) I'll work out some routeage
i can get you to and around some stunning places in the lakes without even seeing a blue motorway sign
http://www.macdonaldhotels.co.uk/our-hotels/macdonald-tickled-trout-hotel/useful-information/ up the M6 to jct 31 its on the roundabout huge big white building
possible kev possible ! not if its pissing down though lol the lakes are my back garden ,like CJ .i bet between us we have covered every inch of the best roads up there.
I'm a lakes virgin but being told only been riding 11 months i'm still finding new places.... You know my views on Rain if its wet i'm staying at home.
should be "too Bad" chas.....the skools are back this week so the weekends will be "quite-ish" up there .... what route ya thinking big man ?
along with wigan Keswick is the wettest place in the UK you need dry weather to enjoy the lakes esp bowness ,ambleside, Hawkshead , the low clouds make it really misty and freezing ...its not fun
Reet... As we can't use motorways we'll have to do summat a little different.. So it's up to Clitheroe, Slaidburn, Bentham, Devils.... Some lovely scenery on the way there.. Bit bumpy, but open moor land..... Then a dash across to Newby bridge, brought on in Furness... We can make a judgement there on progress and either keep going round to Egremont, and back in via Whinlater, or head back to Ambleside, then a loop up to Keswick and back via Ullswater, Kirkstone... I have to admit I'm missing out some lovely scenery, in order to avoid bumpy bits and hairpins..., but its still nice... Any more suggestion greatly received...
the tickled trout M6 Jct 31 its been posted quite a few times in the thread do you know it ? you coming in form Liverpool ? join up with Kev
the long way round lol just take em up the A6 direct to bowness ..stop have a brew and if any fukas moan send them out on the ferrys that catch fire ..mid lake.... dont go the wrynose sue wont get up that lol
Just to let you know the A592 (?) Kirkstone Pass surface ain't great this year, not gravelly but just very worn. Saying that I did ride it after miles and miles of shellgripped Scottish racetrack and my arse felt like it had been to one of Michael Barrymore's parties, so I may not have been in the best frame of mind
