i was going to start to sort this at the end of the month...i have to sort the may meet first...but its still on
how the fuk you guna get to scotland ryan ? bikes look cool with "stuff " on them look at pauls . looks like something from the old steptoe and son days :bleh:
thats ok for the first night mart ive done it myself but what about the rest of the nights ? or does he send underpants to 5 different B and Bs ?
dunno about you, but im a bloke. i will wear the same socks and skids for a month if i have to and sleep in my leathers & boots. women need to change their underwear more often as they are incontinent. i will be travelling light. tent, airbed, sleeping bag, change of clothes (or 2) in a set of softy throwovers. total weight is about 15lb. honestly ive carried a weeks worth of kit and 2 slabs of beer, barbecue & food and its still less weight and bulk than carrying a pilly. packing light is a skill you need to learn if you want to get out and about on the bike. for just a day or 2 you can get away with a 2kg 2 man tent from a supermarket, bedroll and light sleeping bag. all that will fit in a small backpack - though i prefer not to carry luggage on my back if at all possible as it gets tiring over distance and is a pain getting on and off the bike. sue - when you have luggage on, you mount the bike a bit different. instead of swinging your leg over the tail, you poke it through between the tank and tail and sort of shuffle on. same when you get off. you'll get used to it! let ian carry the heavy stuff! honestly youre missing the fun going b&b
i travel really light too. i used a kriega r25 and it went to Eastern europe with me on a trip for ...THREE WEEKS . it held enough socks grundies t shirts waterproofs etc for the whole of he trip . it got lighter as it went on cos when a t shirt was getting enough ...it got binned , im sure i cam home with a pair of trainers and my waterproof in it , no washing no ironing from my returns ! lol
for one night only !!! go for it ? BBq round the camp fire ,,tin of stella in your right hand , tesco horse burger in the other? im serioulsy thinking of a one night tent . you have it easy , just get Ian to carry it on his bike , you ride commando !!!
if your B and B ing kev you dont really need anything for one night ? all the wash stuff will be there wear civvy clothes under your leathers what else do you need ? dont say hair gel FFS
when me and mickr6 went for a ride last week, we called in at the campsite and i checked its not going to be overbooked with boy scouts or similar dibdibbers. it isnt. everything is still there. clean bogs, clean showers, tumble dryers in case we get wet, leccy hook ups, picnic tables (we dragged one over last time for eating our bbq off) what i am considering is, assuming its a success this time, which it will be, providing we have the right numbers, next time we can rent one of the statics for the weekend and maybe watch the bsb on sunday before riding back it'll only be about £20 each plus food & beer. they've got loads on site - some are privately owned, some belong to wyeside. i'll make some enquiries if you like..... and maybe post the leaflet i picked up tmoro if i cba
you mean you dont have spikey pubes ? best feeling in the world banging a girl from behind pretending to be a hedgehog
just wait till as near as poss to the day dont buy a tent...and if fine dry and sunny night expected just sleep on the grass,,crash out on the spot
