After my chain had been tightened, everything was fine as I pull up at home my bike seems to have died and what sounded like a scrunching sound I hope it isn't the gear box but it won't start up ad I can't look as its raining outside and it's pitch black, I'm not happy at all as I can't afford a gearbox if that's the cause I wanna just cry nothing ever goes right ever!! Yeah when I let go of the accelerator it was as if it was jumping then after it had been tightened it didn't do it anymore Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As a guide line your chain shed have travel if you pulled it tight of course your going to strain your gear box still cleaning overspray
will it go into neutral and if so will it start in neutral? roll it forward to check it is definitely in neutral. if it doesnt start in neutral then I doubt it would be gearbox. will it turn over at all? or are you getting nothing from the starter button
when you tightened your chain, did you leave enough play in it? did you check the chain could move up and down about an inch?
Yeah mozzersaints done my chain and there is play in it it was too slack it won't start in neutral, and when I put it in 1st or 2nd it jumps forward if I leave clutch out as if it want to start Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
if you leave the clutch out when you start it in gear it will jerk forwards!,why are you starting it in gear?
also if you are starting it in gear if the side stand is down it will cut out,are you leaving the stand down?
is it turning over in neutral or are you getting nothing from the start button. will it start with clutch pulled in? start in gear with clutch in, switch to neutral depress clutch... will it stay running? if it starts with the clutch but not when its out then it may be a fualty neutral sensor thingy.
his chain was slacker than a clowns pocket, i tightened it for him and left it with a good half inch of play up and down so it wasnt to tight,he rode it and it was fine, their was no reason for it to be dead?
