I would need confirmed dates before I could commit as I work shifts and my holidays are incorporated in the pattern, so if anyone is wanting to go, let me know the dates and I will see what I can do! But in short I want to go!! Lol

Turn right at the sulby hotel then a few minutes on the that road you will see a sign saying mountain road open or closed its a few hundred yards then then left into a bumpy kinda road follow the for another few hundred yards then go over a stream via a green metal bridge then you will see the camp site a road go Thur the middle we should be on the left Look out for a white transit van with green monster stickers on it that our area :)

plus this year he has a few lads setting up camp in the gardens and a couple in the caravan he has, its one of the bigger houses on peel road just so u know lol.

I also would love to go to the TT and go by ferry and take my bike over. But it seems hard to sort out and get to book in time? A lot of places on the ferry seem to go straight away and b and b's booked up very quickly as well? Also seems pretty expensive. But i'd love to go!
Had thought about going I.O.M on non race times but it wouldn't be the same!
Or Flying over rather than the ferry,Try and get a place to stay with my wife. How easy is it getting about the island without the bike on TT time?
Got to do this! planning on 2015! reckon 2014 will be to booked up already?

easy jet and jet2.com are the best ways. you can fly from Blackpool or liverpool . I have booked mine with easyjet £80 return ,the longer you leave it the dearer it gets.

you can also go by boat as a foot passenger . take your push bike with you if you do this, great way of getting to some vantage points

the big big prob you will have is accomodation. we ALL book when we are there for the following year. thats the reason they go quickly. if you go to the IOM web site, log on to the Homestay section. these are peeps who rent rooms out for the TT weeks only , but you need to do it ..like now.

another way of seeing the Island is to go late Aug for the Manx or classic as it is called now, its like a MINI tt ...all the big boys still race , etc but its a much more scaled down version still great fun though

    good luck

Ideally book everything a year in advance. Many peeps book for the following year when they get off the ferry! Yes really.
Camping is not a big problem, which is great in good weather, but it can REALLY rain, so I would go for a real roof if pos :)
Take the bike, or you will regret it. Apart from the lack of mobility you will be feeling left out, I did it once thanks to the Steam Racket Co. Arses!!
But just GO,,,,,, Nothing else like it :)

Thanks for that info mate,Really want to go. Ideally,go over with my bike.... but also thinking of hiring a campervan and go with my wife for a week and going over in that to a campsite? camping easier/more available? Been told about the August Manx/classic as it's easier to get to. Got to get there if not next year,2015:thumbsup:
