Feel the need to add a good curry to this. My take on a vindaloo.
    4 cloves garlic chopped.
Chopped fresh ginger, about an inch square.
    1 onion chopped.
Good dash of white wine vinegar.
A good teaspoon of each of the following dry spices -
Coriander, cumin, garam masala, turmeric, hot curry powder, black mustard seeds.
    Tin of chopped tomatoes.
    Tomato puree.
    4 chicken breasts.
    Salt and pepper.
Fry off onion for a couple minutes on a medium heat. Add garlic and ginger for another minute. Add spices and the vinegar for another minute. Add tomatoes, puree and salt and pepper and simmer away for a few hours In a slow cooker or in the oven (covered so it doesnt boil away all the liquid). Add chicken to the sauce the last half hour of cooking (on a decent heat on the hob so it cooks the chicken through)
Serve with rice and a good beer.

I prefer to just peel n chop the spuds.
    Boil.
Bang a packet of casserole mix veg from the supermarket (fresh carrot, onion, swede, leek etc) In a pan and boil.
    Mash the lot together.
Throw in a tin of chopped corned beef (important - only 1 tin or it just turns to slop).
The casserole mix not only saves time and money but makes it much nicer.

They do this in Manchester and Liverpool.
The NWB should go and do it some time; basically - you can eat for free!

We made a video of us completing the challenge

    50 wings, 15 minutes - Easy!

    Indian Snacks

    Samosa's
    4oz Marg or Butter
    4 tbls Fresh Coriander
    2tsp Garam Masala
    2tsp Chilli Powder
    2tsp Turmeric
I tsp garlic powder or substitute fresh garlic
    1tsp Ground Ginger
    4 or 5 Chillies
    4 medium sized potatoes (diced)
    2 Onions (diced)
1 pkt of diced mixed vegetables (1 lb bag)
    1lb Minced Steak or Lamb
1 packet of frozen filo pastry squares

Fry off onion with minced meat of choice in the butter or marg, add all spices except for fresh coriander.
Mix and cook for about 5 mins, add mixed vegetables, onion and potatoes add 1/2 pint stock and simmer until veg is cooked, add coriander at the last minute, mix in...
    Leave this mixture to cool
Once cooled, make small parcels.. Usually triangles.... of the samosa mixture, seal the edges with a flour and water paste...
Once these are all made... You can either brush these with oil and oven bake to crisp up, or fry ....

    Onion Bhaji
    2 cups Gram flour
    1 tsp Cumin Seeds
    1 tbls Fresh Coriander
    1 tsp Salt
    1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
    1/2 tspTurmeric
    1/4 tsp Bicarbonate of soda
    2 large onions (sliced)

Mix all ingredients except onions, in 1/4 pint of Water to make thick batter - add onion into the batter
Add a heaped tablespoon of mixture into hot oil, fry for approx. 3 mins, until crisp and golden.
Drain on kitchen paper, serve as a starter or as a side dish with a main meal..

Then I'll have to share our family secret recipe for baked bean surprise

take several (dependant on recipient greed levels) pieced of sliced bread (white brown, what ever you prefer), put them in the toaster and wait patiently for the "pop up" shock, place on a plate and serve.

I live alone mate, the most adventurous thing I cook is a fish finger. I cant stand cooking or waiting around for someone to take 4 hours to cook something I'm gonna eat in one minute, if I sound ungrateful its because I am.
