I can see how they stay in business. Spot on though, dreadful stuff. I go to the local butchers and market.
Can't help with any recipes though as I moved back to my mums and she cooks it for me :bag:.

    Haha sorry Indi :)

If you want a quick nibble meal while watching a movie or whatever then i suggest 'Manchos'

Get a bag of Doritos (or tortilla chips of choice) tip them into a oven proof dish (preferably pirex dish) chop up a matersons sausage and add that, add some chopped spring onion and then coat in grated cheese. Put in the oven for approx 10 mins to melt the cheese and crisp up the doritos a little then serve with Salsa, Sour Cream and Guacamole

for total poverty feeding .. tinned beans tin of spam in a pan heat till hot serve with instant spuds dinner for one for £1..25
not particularly nice but it keeps you fed .....
alternatively salmon in hot frying pan with a little oil skin side down first then turn it over ater a few minutes turn it back and break it into flakes.
I send to use a little lemmon juice and serve with small potatoes and long green beans .... usually find that a £12 piece of salmon feeds four people

1 X desert spoon chilli powder.
    Heat on stove until bubbling.
Serve with 6 to 8 cans of generic lager.

    Cheap n cheerful dinner...
Liver & onions...I add bacon to mine, but it's an optional extra
    Ingredients
    Lambs liver
    Onions
    Plain flour
Vegetable or beef stock pot mixed in appropriate amount of water
    Salt/ground black pepper

Coat lambs liver in seasoned flour (seasoned with salt/black pepper)
Sauté onions on frying pan, add coated liver and cook on a low heat...if you are adding bacon, cut it up into smallish pieces and add now
Add vegetable or beef stock and simmer gently... The flour you coated the liver with will thicken the stock for you
I usually have this with mashed potatoes and some seasonal vegetables..

Indi, you really need to open a bikers cafe. You'd be raking it in!

Have always loved cooking, perhaps I should've gone into catering rather than the health service
But then..... When would there be time for me to get out on my bike? ;)
Plus affording to open a cafe would be a nightmare...

Breaded Camembert, gently fried in a small amount of olive oil (you can bake if you prefer)
Serve with a balsamic vinegar glaze and a green side salad (rocket, and baby leaves usually for me) with some redcurrant jelly
That's a really nice light tasty lunch

Another camping recipe would be corned beef hash...
    Peeled chopped potatoes
    Peeled chopped carrots
    Peeled chopped onions
    Can of corned beef
    1 beef stock cube
Throw all the veg into a large pan cover with water, add stock cube, simmer until cooked..Add chopped corned beef about 5 mins before serving.
Have that with some nice crusty bread.... And your generic beer ;)
