Sorry I could not make this ride...you definitely all had a great time.... an unexpected family event prevented my attendence ... and ride with the group... totally gutted.. Alb
Well we had good ride through Chatsworth, then waited at Bamford petrol station for you all to pass. Then at Glossop, peeled off up to Woodhead, Holme Moss, Meltham, a 99 at Buckstones Moss, then home
Bugger could've come with you for that one Stu...a different way home. Didn't share that ice cream with Kevin did you?
see I got bollocked off Sue for losing you and the 125 man and her hubby .........Then went to see if I could see you anywhere got back and everyone had vanished ..... guessed you had headed for fuel somewhere ...so went and did another lap of the Snake pass Then did it all again today but better ....shame we missed the Whetton Mill bit too...
Didn't know what anyones plans were after the snake, saying as I hadn't spoke to anyone since the Cat, when no one was stopped at the end of the snake, I thought you'd all dispersed home. Made sure the 125 guy made it over the snake, waved him goodbye then went on my own adventures.
yeh matey there was a few of us had to get off home - mike oldracercunt, pch1 paul, me and a few others... i didnt want to miss the chap who'd come from stoke to buy my cans so the plan was to get everyone back to kuntsford then split off. i knew you know your way so no biggy... kev, we figured you'd gone straight on to stockport / mcr... its just a better route the way we headed. some superb roads over there, but really you need to get off the main roads to avoid the traffic and plod. most of the B roads are great too big a group to keep together with all the traffic and fkin cyclists  - thats why a few of us broke off from the group and just did our own thing and met you at the stops.... was better imo thats the future imo... all meet up then break off into smaller clusters and regroup at the next planned stop. much safer much funner
ah but by the time we got to the bottom of Long Hill lots of people who we were expecting to see weren't there Twas all my fault for not stopping at the far end of the dual carriage way where the solid white lines mean no waiting ......Hands Up .....Guilty .. as charged,,,, But Didn't lose Jen today ...... ...or myself............... think whetton mill tomorrow if i can find it, Ice cream by the stream and a beer at Hulme End ......
thing is mate youve got to watch that, marking a junction on a solid white line to the left..... 3 points if an arsy plod happens to pass!
have to get in what riding I can before the nasty man adds up all the points they are throwing at me. because the insurer cancelled my policy on the car for not geting aegis, whpo i was insured with to send aegis, who I was going to be insured with a proof of no claims bonus so Aegis who I am insured with know they insured me previously.... 6 points,,,,, twats thinks this is the bloody Eurovision ... oh and fighting another 6 points for not replying to a letter that I didnt get to say I wasnt riding my bike when the guy who wanted to buy it got spotted on the cameras on the snake ... 6 more points....£900 total fines..... and no you cant get legal aid .......
sorry i didn't mean to bollock you ...i got a good bollock when i got home..lol...we lost ian kev stueo 125 man and xj1300 lol we should really have spilt into two groups one oliver lead and one you lead..but i had a great time and thats all that matters :shades: sorry we left you i never even saw you leave to look for the rest
yeah spent way way too long over lunch should have been a quick stop and off to the good bits , i think Jen saw twice as much out on our ride today climbed every bloody hill in the peak park i think .... We really ought to try and do the Whetton mill bit and grab lunch or breakfast at the Grouse , because he will arrange pre orders for breakfast or lunch or do a hot pot supper for after a long days ride....... and there is room for well over 100 bikes..... they had a Big Harley meet there last weekend ...
I got stopped at a set of lights and lost sight as you all rounded a slight left hand bend and the rest is history as they say . Great ride anyway...
If you all got your lazy asses out of the sack and set off before 11.30 you'd have time for a leisurely lunch in the sun....grumble grumble
Oliver, you only get up early because of the kids. Us oldies get to lie in cos our little shits are old enough to look after themselves lol. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
