    Yep :)

Sunday is supposed to be sunny so I'm thinking of getting to MMC for a bacon butty and brew 10am, leaving at 10:30 head up through St Helens, drop onto M6 for 5 mins then off at Parbold, through Standish and enjoy the twisty A/B roads, through Rivi into Horwich then up the A675 to Blackburn, jump on M65 for 5 mins and stop at Rocket Centre to perv at some more bikes. Back down the same route but in reverse then to finish at Fredericks on the A6 for ice cream.

Nothing daft or mega miles - just a nice few hours out on the roads :) Anyone who wants to join is more than welcome.

Jimbo are you sure youre ready for a trip like that?
What prep have you done first?
And have you arranged to get the bike serviced along the route cos thats a hellovalot of miles for you mate.
Are you not worried something might go wrong?
What if you get kidnapped or there a military coup or something

I do envy you though. Some of those destinations sound amazing and the roads .... Omg biking heaven.
You be carefull mate and be sure to take lots of fotos of your adventures.

Jim will be protected by the bacon butty inside him. A bit like the readybrek effect.

Sarcy twat, Martin! I was actually thinking we could get you to sit around in a van with emergency supplies for me just in case of breakdown/blizzard/Biblical flood/nuclear war. You know, seeing how you'll have nowt else better to do on the glorious sunny Sunday when you have no bike :p

I did say it's nowt mega - just an hour or two out on the bike is all. Better than riding to MMC, on to Southport then home (which is the usual NWB Sunday mooch). I can't be out for the full day, anyway, as I have to work later :(

No need for baggage mate. I've already got a mentally unstable ex-wife and a couple of ex-gfs who don't fire on all cyclinders so that's more than enough baggage for me already :p

    THIS

It's out of a book I bought recently, will take in the tag :) some slower, interesting B roads (get off the beaten track), viewpoints and passes. I'm suggesting an early start from Lymm (from 9am) to get the most out of the day.

    Who's in?

After Glossop I'll probably go Mossley Greenfield Delph Rochdale (I think) so you'll have to find your own way home!!!

Hahaha knowing you two you'll probably bail on the ride so as to get another couple of hours lie-in then just come straight to Fredericks.

    I've got you two sussed!! ;) :p
