We weren't speeding so we can't get done for that, the videos clearly been sped up for a cinematic effect Love the end hahaha! I just wish there was a camera that saw my face when I came back out the shop after paying for the petrol and just seeing you shoot off down the road
So when he said he left you behind... he really meant it!!! Sorry you had to go through that ordeal for my sake :lmfao: Dan, what software program are you using for editing your vids?
It was fine, a few moments before I saw curt-sc125 flying past and he lives in the same town so I'd have been going the wrong way if I went with dan anyway
Just watched big dans vid, I wish I had cone out looks like you had a good ride. What CAN has krarkol got on his bike coz thats loud! And big dans cam skills are top notch.
a persistant plod would still have you..... they know the distance between lines and lamp posts etc and will calculate distance over time and before you know it youre squealing like a piggy for big leeroy :s
It's a delkevic slash cut stubby Honestly I didn't speed, I just accelerated briskly to the speed limit of the road
I concur................I have just read so many threads with lads of a similar content to yours, and before long the inevitable has happened and it is very sad. I don't want to fill your head with doom and gloom.....truthfully I don't. Just be careful that's all.............and don't think too much about it. I am sure that you are a confident rider and will become more and more experienced the older and longer you ride.
Excellent video by the way Dan. The turn out was fantastic...........................cant believe I bloody missed you all lol
In another thread I posted about riding attitude. Your attitude of got to be fast is going to end in tears, best case scenario will be someone picking you out of a hedge, worst case will be you in a wooden box! Reading through this thread, Woody points out you're bladdering along the straights. How can you see into the corner far enough to set you and the bike up? You say that the only problem is being right over and going through the crap in the road or on the chewed surface. Your problem is you're going too fast into the corner. You're then coming out slowly and then trying to cane it on the straights to catch up to keep your 'must be fast' attitude! if the bike's all the way over, you've got nothing left in reserve should there be something around the corner you've not seen because your head's so hung up on speed. I'd bet big money due to the speed on approach you're on the brakes so much and for so long that the bike's still not settled by the time you turn. You're turning to early as you've not had chance to read the road properly and your running wide, so that you end up on the crap surface around the edge of the road. There's the IAM advanced riding course starting on Saturday, once we've got a better idea of how Observer availability, there's probably going to be the opportunity for a riding assessment. Me or Dave (the WiNkMaStEr) will probably take these. Dave's done (almost?) every civilian advanced riding course known to man and I'm a Police advanced motorcyclist, so between us, we'll be able to point you in the right direction!
I would like a bit of this, new on the big bikes and feel un confident on corners especially where I anticipate greasy or wet patches let me know please
Most speedo has said is 84mph and then it started dragging ...I think its the top speed unless you buy a 15t front sprocket, I've heard of people hitting 95+ with that but you lose acceleration. Noticed u missing an L plate though I did it for a few weeks but risky business I think its 3pts if you get caught. edit; photos: aaaaand the JAM PACKED carousel haha
Dave (The Winkmaster) posted a thread in the Bike Chat section of the forum titled 'Advanced Riding 2013' or something similar. I'd post a link, but unfortunately due to being at a village idiot level of computing, this simple task is beyond me! We're running 3 courses this year. The first starts this Saturday but I'm 99% sure that it's fully booked. Have a read of the thread and if you want more details give either me or Dave (or both of us!) a PM and we'll answer any questions. Rob
