Yer I agree as sometimes I am silly but I thought I had enough room if i'm thinking of the same place I just need to think of the possible consequences of my actions before I do them I guess But I am young and life will teach me these lessons
Don't worry Mark - i have done far worse. just as you get old and the more you think about stuff, the more you think twice and often slow down. I guess it's just the feeling of needing to keep up. It was good today, we all had some fun and came back in one piece = WIN.
Guys, as much as I go on about being fast and stuff on here I am completely different in person, I try my best not to do anything reckless (mistakes do happen) and there's also the fact that I just don't have the balls If people in front are going fast on a road that I'm unfamiliar with I have no problem with hanging back. A few may remember today when I pulled into a lay by and waited and joined the back of their pack... (think CRM was in that group and a lady on a triumph that wasn't sue for once haha!)
I also remembering nailing the RC to reel you in on the way out of whitchurch between the roundabouts - 33bhp eh I did fear for you when you hit some loose mud on the A41 and the rear stepped out. Serious question - have you had an off yet ? and that's not a dig BTW
You ride with aggression mate and need to loose the aggression. Don't even think of trying to keep up with sports bike because your isn't one. Sports bikes will deal with lumps and bumps on the bends and maintain their lines. This is part of the suspension damping which you don't have other than yours goes up and down.
Was a good ride today wish it was a bit warmer tho came home and ended up falling a sleep in my leathers whilst watching sbk Btw you don't want to crash it hurts a lot. Just ride at your own pace sent from tapatalk HTC
That thing could have ran circles around me if you wanted it too I did have a few slips throughout the day, but I think that was pretty common on the roads as a few others mentioned theirs stepping out. Came off my ped the 2nd week I got it, thats how I learnt about roundabouts, diesel and water being a bad combo 2nd time was at rivington on the steep downhill and I went round a bend and the tyres just slid through horse poop and I got thrown off that. Had a very low speed off a few week ago going down my street in the snow with racetecs on... Other than that though, nothing too serious..I can be stupid and treat the throttle like an on/off switch but I'm also fairly cautious, especially when it comes to overtakes and stuff like that
Btw guys, some good posts...I don't mind being criticized if it makes me a safer rider I've tried liking a few but apparently I've exceeded the maximum I can give out today
we are not criticising you we are just worried about your need to be at the front....thats all....please don't take it the wrong way x
A few people have said your rear wheel appears to wobble so put it on a track stand and check it,could be a bent rim
Trust me I learnt this the hard way if you try and follow someone, your not going to be concentrating on the road. Your focus is on them I done it myself first time out with the fast riders. It ain't worth it pal, they'll always wait. Just trying to help mate please don't take it wrong way.
I'm not taking it the wrong way, I'm still young and I'm learning I'm probably just taking it for granted that I've never had any big off's to remind me what can happen... I don't actually recall that one tbh, usually when I overtake I make sure any oncoming traffic is at a distance and if they aren't I'll hang back Is this when accelerating or at speed? I think it's the front suspension and the fact that I have to hold on a bit when at speed which amplifies a bit of front end wobble and makes the back sway
Check the tyre is bedded on the rim properly. There should be an even ridge on the tyre a few millmeters from the rim.
Yeah I'm just wondering if it's the way the tyres sat on the rim I also wondered if it might just be an illusion from the tread aswell as I thought I'd notice any significant wobble. The rear wheel was off yesterday for new chain and sprockets so I thought anything unsual would have been noticed then
did you re -align it properly when putting it back on ? torqued up the spindle nut to the recommened tightness ? is the cush drive in properly
