yeh another little tip - if youre struggling, leave it overnight, let the small bubbles settle into one big one.
    much easier to get out.
get some of them easybleed one way nipples - makes the job a lot easier

I am really not sure, I have a one way bleed valve on some tube, just dont seem to be able to push the brake fluid through the calipers.

Like Martin said, I left it over night to see if it would do anything. Just a thought mind, do you leave them over night (valves open or shut).

I will try again after Crimbo now, its coming together nicely.

Just spent 2hrs meself trying to bleed the calipers on the blade, after a complete strip down and re-build. Could not for the life of me get rid of the spongy feel in the lever. Another bottle of Dot4 later and i realised there was a bleed nipple tucked away under the resevoir on top of the master cylinder [IMG][IMG]....Problem sorted and now the proud owner of rock solid brakes.

Try opening the bleed nipple quite wide and slowly pumping the lever to prime the system, i took the one way valve off the end of the bleeder pipe as the little ball bearing wasn't allowing the air out when I pumped the lever, just make sure the end of the pipe is submerged in a couple of cm of fluid in the bottom of a jar to stop air being sucked back into the system, should work..[IMG]

Tighten bleed nipples and tie the brake lever right back to the clip-on over night with the resevoir cap on loose and then just give it a final bleed the next day and any air should be expelled.

As you all know I have been treating the bike to a little makeover, I last posted that I was having trouble bleeding the brakes.

Happy days they are finally bleed and feel 100% better than before.

Here is the brake lever fully out.

Here it is fully engaged, absolutley 100% better than before, used to be able to pull the brake lever all the way into the handle bar.

It needs another few coats and then it will be ready to be fitted to the bike again, not sure if the colour is a good match. Hopefully when it's fully dry it will be less goldy.

This little goody turned up the other day.

I will keep you all posted on the rest of the rebuild.

As you all know,I have been updating and freshing up my ZX6R. I have not posted up anything for awhile as I have been busy with the bike and Crimbo.

The bike will be 90% completed by this evening, I will post up some more pictures for you all. Hopefully you can notice the difference in the mods and fettled bits.

I have also been very busy getting all my trackday bits and bobs together, if anyone can help with the following that would be great.

Set off wheels (tyres not needed).
    Rearsets
    Back Protector

Other than that I think I have everything sorted for this coming season, oh yeah has anyone got a spare bag of talent as that would be usefull. Looking forward to Cadders now on the 5th of February 2010.

I think the NWB race teams should use this day to test their bikes and keep me company.

Speak to you all later on this evening, complete with new updated bike pictures.

    Peace

Happy days, she is nearly there now. I just need to get some bar ends, grips, stomp grips, tail plate bracket, lense covers and a clear double bubble screen.

Braided hoses and crash bung - Right handside.

Polished exhaust pipe and painted swing arm, still need some rear bobbins. Should be able to pick them up tomorrow.

New seat cover, waiting for some decals to come from a lad of TDR.

New undertray, no number plate. I was thinking of keeping it like this (could be a ghost rider Lol). Need to knock up a bracket which I can remove when I attend track days.

A couple more for good measure

Hope the subtle changes are ok, I think it looks very clean and tidy now. The lense covers should change the look of the bike, they are the solid black ones. I am gonna try and put a number on them if possible.

Just need the weather to sort itself out and we can all get out again, by the way if you are interested Bikenutter and myself are going to Cadders on the 5th of February with MSV.

Get involved if you can it's on a Saturday and its only £59.00.
