Less is more. Although I found the ad funny id never in a million years have bought the bike. Drop the bollocks about wiring the alarm. Dont say you wouldnt buy an exhaust for hundreds then in the next breath say headers can be had for £30. I just put in an honest description. Good points. Bad points. Keep it simple.
keep it about the bike, no jokes, no waffle, align the text centrally and keep it a decent size so it's easy to read.
lol smudge your a fuming legend the original listing is still above the edited listing ..theres about 3 A4 size pages to read now…i read the first few lines and thought ..this guys a knob i won't buy of him …camels ? wives ? etc etc etc its all too much to take in for a buyer in my opinion ….hope it sells though for you
sorry its sold pending collection private buyer £1180 not to bad big loss had for sale signs on car and bike outside house, agreed to change the rear tyre also
thats fantastic for you smudge well pleased ..also for cancer research a whopping £354….from your proceeds ..brilliant news
Funnily enough i know someone who works in the department that handles the donations and the thank you letters ect that they send, When the money is received by them i'll try and get her to give you a little mention somewhere for it, its a really generous thing to do that
You should get one of those big cheques and present it with the local media there for coverage etc , mention NWB , will be a great bikers promotion . We could all stand in the background with tins of red paint and welders sunglasses on ! Your going to miss that bike smudge ....but you have done the right thing selling ...kids first etc
I donate to lots of charities smudge , cancer research , NWAA and scope being among them . We have just raised over £350 for the fire fighters benevolent fund in the past few weeks. everyone should look after the underprivileged at some time in their life, good to see you doing your bit .
http://www.firefighterscharity.org.uk/news-media/news-blog/2012/december/motorbikes-mfrs Here's a link to some funds we sent last year , we support the fire fighters charity all the time . When we run an IAM course , each associate is charged £5 for fuel by his observer, but this is donated to the charity , rather than the observer have it .
ok so the guy comes back today with his dad, yeah you know the sort and his dad starts prying pushing and yeah kicking the fooking tyre after 2 mins inspecting the rear tyre he says YEAH SON YOU DONT WANT TO BUY THIS. wtf how can you judge a bike is worth buyin by kicking the back tyre seriously, so his son says can i have my deposit back i say yes tommorow as bank is shut. i thought people only kicked tyres on cars bear in mind i was changing the tyre anyway heres the tyre pic..
they can actually charge up to a certain amount ..i think its £20…we used to charge £0 ….but most of the observers were wanting to re coup a little towards there bike running costs…but most pop it in the charity envelope towards the fire fighters charity
