Consider I've only been on the 600 for about 4 weeks and a 125 for 10 months before that. Is this going to be something I can 'comfortably' be involved in. I'm not quick or great in corners yet so don't want to slow people down?

p.s tell me to fuck off if you like :)

laf: From my point of view, it's not about anyone having to worry about keeping up. Always ride at your own pace, and so long as everything works as it should, and people know to check for you, then you'll be fine on the ride out. A 600 is perfectly able to keep pace on the faster stretches without you having to push yourself out of your comfort zone in corners, a 4t 125 is (generally) not, especially with a cautious rider.

If you're inexperienced with group riding and nervous about it, then the best idea would be to head down to Millennium motorcycles in St. Helens for breakfast one Sunday soon and tag along for a short ride out from there (often go to southport and/or rivington). Or indeed come to the Scotch on a Wednesday, as there's sometimes a mish out from there too. That'll give you a little taster, and if you don't feel comfortable then you can always peel off earlier and not be stranded 100s of miles from home.

Every time I gone out with these lot, I rode at my pace and and most of the time some one was waiting at the point where they turned off, so no worrys

The only time it did not happen, was when Furyous did the yorkshire dales run, but its only a phone call away and then they tell you were to meet up again, so not a problem, just remember ride at your Pace and yours alone

The only way you will become a better rider is to ride with better riders & we will look after you Laf so should I put you down as a Deffo?

Laf: On Saturdays ride i was at the back quite alot, 33bhp restriction and shite on the corners. Still a top laugh though and everyones easy to get along with. Go for it mate, i know my riding has improved because of my ride out with the fellows on here, will definately go again! Just ride at your own pace and itll be a great day.

Lavinia, it was awesome I loved every minute of it and trusted them all implicitly. Although I am a super chilled pillion, I'd easily fall asleep if it wasn't imperative to hold on! Plus it is hard work, could hardly move the following day but well worth it in my opinion. :D
