Sat 19th June North & Mid Wales ride out

Hello everyone, after the success of Alex's ride out today round Yorkshire I am proposing a Welsh one on Saturday the 19th June, there are no England games & everyone should be home safe from the TT.

We will be looking to meet around 10am at the Macdonalds in Mold ( Signposted of the A55 ). Its on the roundabout of Denbigh Road & King Street please see link for map.

I want to add that there are no Motorways here & I dont want to exclude anyone from attending however judging on the reasonable pace of yesterday we probably averaged 60-70mph round Yorkshire so if you feel your bike will keep up then great see you in Mold.

We will head off 10.30ish & head down the Mold/Denbigh road, then onto the Denbigh moors to the A5, right towards Betwys y Coed then through Capel Courag & on to Snowdon & Llanberris. Down to the Beach at Abersoch then head back to Portmaddoch, Harlech & Barnmouth. (If theres time we can do the run down to Aberystwryth then back round) Then we are off to Bala, back on the A5 & up onto the Horse Shoe Pass to the Ponderosa, from there we can head back to Mold via Ruthin. Let me know what dates you can do, anyone else cant do it please post the dates it is fluid & open to suggestions

OK so for everyone I am going to change the date to the 19th, England do not play on that day & everyone should be back from the TT so now who wants to go? :goodjob:

What milage will we cover, do not fancy another long one at the moment :lol:

soz i'll be @ Silverstone for the Moto GP

 

It wont be a massive mileage I covered over 340 miles yesterday but 100 of that was traveling up the M6/M56 I reckon between 180 & 220 however if everyone wants to & we have time we could do the ride down to Aberystwyth. Its a really nice run and we get to visit the seaside come on put ya name down. Its not for another 4 weeks so plenty of time to think about it.

 

Sounds like a good trip, I should be ok for that date. Can you arrange the same weather as Alex? ;-)
