Will book it off tomorrow for sure. Sounds a real blast. Will carry a pillion if needed but will confirm closer the time as i need sort insurance out.

was looking forward to plenty weekend rides now my son's football season is over, until my gf reminded me she finishes maternity leave soon and will be working weekends :cry: lol.

its really slow i can get 68 tops on the flat or maybe thats down hill :S and thats with the wind at my back and screwing it

I don't want to pretend it can do more I'd hate to hold everyone up. I am happy to ride-out on runs that are not so far but as I said above unless some saint wants a pillion I cant do these day trips yet

and I don't take offence at anyone saying the trips are not suitable for slow bikes I prefer it's said then I'm not resented for delaying everyone and I don't feel the pressure to ride out of my comfort zone

 

I don't know whether I'm coming yet, and I won't want a pillion all day but I'm sure between a few of us we can happily bring you along for the run Lavinia. You may be able to top Kel's new record of 4 bikes in one day

But don't jump in too hastily. Have you often ridden pillion before? Because it will be very quick, and it will be hard work on such a long trip. If you're at all anxious or nervous as a pillion, you may not enjoy it all that much. Not being condescending by the way, you'd never get me on the back at that pace for that far (you're looking at 350 miles from your place and back).

But if you're not nervous, and have trust in the riders to take care of you (which they will), then I'm sure you'll love it.

Deffo kill my knees as a pillion all day

 

I would need my dummy and blanket first. I love a bit of pace, but put on the back and I turn into a gibbering nervous wreck
