Please stop wasting your money, Gixxers do that with the oil. When we refresh the oil and filter prior to a race meeting the oil will be black in colour within the first practice session. The black colour can be exaggerated by a poor quality clutch, I find that running the Kevlar EBC race clutch keeps the oil a better shade, if thats what you are looking for. Dont worry, you have changed the oil and it will be great.
Haha you lot know me already :-( just like my bike to be tip top best of everything dropping the oil again tomorrow will let you know what happens
FFS, YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will never stay within the original colour, is not unhealthy for the bike.
Of course, he can do what ever he likes. However the fact remains that what he is trying to achieve is un-obtainable, the oil will change colour within the first few miles of riding it.
I am stating this is the first bike that the oil has gone black in all the others stayed clean and my hirnet had 30000 miles on it
Aye, I know what you mean I came from a Kwak that kept the oil clean. However the Gixxer does anything but
Take the leads off and crank it a few times with the sump plug out, empty the oil pump of the black oil I'm not sure if your meant to do this so don't take my word for it. Just don't let it start!!
