3000 miles from new ? still under warranty ? take it back tell them your getting black oil a few miles after you have changed it ! its best to pop a new filter on and drain out the old stuff completly then you can make a proper assessment
yeh i wouldnt worry about it tbh. jeez some bikes go years and tens of 1000s without changes and theyre fine. but nawt wrong with overdoing the oil changes. google 'dyno break in' and see how many oil changes they do within the first 10 hrs of an engines life - and the difference it makes in power, fuel consumption and lifespan!
your dead right about the magnet thing martin ktm's always have magnets in the sump plugs. fkin scary the first time you do an oil change. ktm forums are full of new owners shitting themselves about the fine filings they pick up. being a ktm half of the time it turns out to be fine.....................
+1 for ALControl, I've used them for flue gas analysis of boilers in industry. Highly recommended by myself
ha ha you bell. to be honest half the time its a stunning handling, beatifully powered piece of motorcyle heaven, the other half of the time its a ktm.....
Ryan you have an ace bike stop messing with it ....cutting into the exhaust , pissing around with Oil etc ..just ride the fuka
Worrying about nothing all looks fine to me from an old gixerboy, next old change use gen filter and 10/40 semi oil Richie
I'm sure its nothing too serious, its probably just being a Suzuki Have you taken a sample of it yet?
