Everyone else has said what I was thinking pretty much, those angles of lowering / jacking up will make it massively unstable! As for the bike, the force involved to snap fork legs means I wouldn't trust that the headstock is 100% and I'd deffo be getting it on a jig before I rode it again. Glad you're posting about it anyways mate, it might suck but least you're here to think it sucks!
What do you guys think, sell seperatly or sell as a whole the more i think about it im just not at a point in my life where i can justify a track bike.... what's it worth? not recordered as damaged and both engine and frame are all in top condition
TBH mate, I'd be inclined to offer it on motoforum or the SV site as a job lot and if you don't get what you want, strip and sell. I appreciate you think the frame is in good nick, but it would be hard to confirm looking at the forces involved in fooking the wheels and the forks etc. I appreciate it's a tough knock, but I'd be looking at drawing a line under it for now and clearing it away so you can take time out to reflect on next steps.
yea thats the thinking, i want to get away from bikes for a good while, to return when im ready. Just want shut of the lot :/

lol that is rub from my leathers no actual damage.... on the left hand side there is paint rub where they scratched the tank on it but thats all. The frame has been checked by my mechanic but as said above could do with being put on a rig to ensure. this will more than likely end up as a track bike anyway. And it will never be given a "category"
mate i had an sv got knocked off and not recorded to damage was bent fork (left) dent in tank, leavers bars and engine needed replaceing.... i got 450 for mine off ebay 3 day auction
That's about right without the engine. As the engines sell for around 300-450 dependent on condition. GWS, but bin the frame/swing arm not fair giving someone else problems, been there thats exactly why i'm having to rebuild my Steely
ps explanation,MOTcbr,wheels out of alighnment,frame ,s/arm,forks,wheel spindle had all been bodged on. don,t pass it on.
Id just get rid as a job lot. i wouldnt go telling people that the frame and swingarm are ok either. just sell as is. you would never forgive yourself if it caused an accident to someone else. either get it checked properly or sell as seen. not much more than an engine and gearbox left of it by the looks of things.
I'd agree with the 'dont put it back on the road or track'... snapping forks takes serious force ! Dont even know if i'd be happy with it jigged, could still be straight but maybe overly-stressed. I'd be inclined to strip it and get the most money for all the bits seperately BUT that all depends on time/storage availability. Sell it all either way and buy something cheap for the road that you're not too bothered about

Give the docs a ring elliot. Might be summat n nothing, might be an infection. Dont take chances mate. I would agree with smithy.... A bike thats had a hard knock like that shouldnt be put on the track... When you think it will be pushed to its limits far more than on the road. Iirc there was a guy (from heysham power station) killed at oulton 2yr ago when the headstock snapped off his cat b track bike... He hit the concrete wall on the straight past the garages, flat out. Just something to consider. If it was me id break it and get some coin back, or look for a donor with a fkt engine.

just to freak you mate.... something to think about. youve broken some bones and are probably black & blue all over. broken bones bleed & bruising is muscular bleeding. i had a minor fall at work not so long ago and felt a bit dizzy a few days later, woke up in hospital with tubes and wires all over me.... turns out id bruised an artery in my leg and it had caused a clot which ended up in my heart and nearly killed me. that was falling like 2ft. dont wait til wednesday mate get a lift to a&e asap bud. might be nothing but dont fk about. blokes are stupid when it comes to health - & i'm the worlds worst for it!
