My sincere apologies for the lack of posts guys and girls.but me and shazza have been a bit busy. We have moved to another pub. It's a little bit further to go but a great trip out. We have moved to the Thomas Henry in Maryport Cumbria. If anyone fancies a ride out a warm welcome awaits. Plus anyone who would like to make a weekend I know a few places you can pitch a tent. Rode safe everyone

just browsing through threads and my old local pops up.i lived in a flat right across the road from the elm tree.i could shout my order from my window to my mates in summer.brings back memories. burtonwood sure did have some good roads around it back in the day and plenty of pubs for a small village.any burtonwooders on here.

Good test for you clutch on the way up and your brakes on the way down, wouldn't fancy trying to get a sportsbike round some of those hairpins. Lovely views though and the best preserved roman fort in the country at the top.
