NWB Christmas Party Poll

I voted for Manchester but the only weekend I can't do is 2/3december I said originally , which sort of nullifies my vote for Manchester I think .

Sorry I can't make the Christmas party really enjoyed last years, unfortunately I have to withdraw my offer of bed/ floor space because I have a previous booking of teenage girls that weekend

Not sure why it got so complicated this year as last year was sorted fairly qckly and efficiently loads of people turned out and everyone had a great time.

We did food pub crawl and clubbing some people did all 3 others joined and dropped off at various stages,

Perhaps next year the vote should be in stages eg

Fixed venue or not

Then when we know the format vote on a date

Then those who are interested in the date and format can vote on location.

The first weekend of December will always be a no for me and I wouldn't want to go to a kids party either ( been there done that) no offence to those with young kids but my view s this is an adult affair , if we want to organise a kids party for those with little ones a venue is a must but could be done on another date and probably best during the afternoon .

 

I fear that this will be a small crowd I'll do my best but for the minute I'm a maybe

seeing as though all the time, consideration and effort I have put into this has basically gone nowhere then I have a better option. Delete the thread someone else do it and I'll just see you there.

It's only got so difficult Lavignia because no one is willing to compromise and quite frankly why should I bother bending over backwards phoning people getting there views etc etc when no one seems to be arsed????? This is not a dig at you by the way im just answering your post within this post.

If no one wants to sort this then there wont be a christmas party/p*ss up/pub crawl whatever you want to call it.

And before anyone starts throwin comments back at me about this post just bare in mind ive put a lot of time into this to bring us all together. It started very simple then escalated very quickly I tried to accomodate everyone "maybe that was my mistake"????

I can do the 2nd in Manchester but think the threads died a little cause those who voted Manchester can't do the date.

If you look at the voting at who can do a day & location the most, then it's actually a tie between Chester on 2nd & Manchester on 17th.

Thing is it will always be difficult to organise a date & place that will suit all & some will miss out due to that.

Plus don't forget there are some people who've not voted but have expressed an interest in going.

 

i can't do 2nd, works Christmas do or i'd offer to take 2 people from this end over in the car to save a people a few bob.

Dave mate this is the problem everyone has an idea but there not all the same, where are all the people that said yeah Manchester great ? Ok we can't all do the 2nd but where are the people that said they could do the 2nd?

Come on people if we take Lavinia and Lou out who by the way are the only people who have responded to Dave apart from Wonda where are you ?

Dave if no one answers I'll pick it up and work with you to get it sorted.

If nothing gets sorted im off to get lashed in Chester on the 2 nd if anyone wants to come,places like Blackpool and an expensive night round Manchester are out for me now as if come to realise I just can't afford it with Xmas round the corner

 

Tbh Kev I think a few people are feeling the pinch an I still say that a venue is the answer, it's not about walking around bars paying £5 a pint it's about everyone getting together for a good chat and a laugh isn't it? So doesnt matter where it is !!

only a suggestion, and i know it means it's Liverpool way again, but what about the Scotch? i'm sure Paula would let us use the far room for it, we can decorate it Christmasy and maybe throw in a stereo and bring some CD's for a bit of drunken dancing? it's not exactly massive but if anyone then wants to carry the night on it's not too far to the city centre?

other suggestion is organise a meal somewhere, then you can do the awards and have a good drink, munch and gab at the same time?

it would be gutting if this didn't get off the ground this year, last year was a really good night

Is that really an NWB night out? Come on everyone I wi help Dave sort it out pick the second available date and lets all go for a meal and a few beers, somewhere like Cheshire oaks (doesn't have to be there but somewhere similar) they have 5/6 bars and great places to eat, even has a club.
