hahaa yes bt some people cant come otherwise so it just opens it up a littel but we could all do both as a venue will only last till 12

 

Why dont we make things a little simpler, arrange a venue so that people with family wanting to come can bolt down what there doing and we can sort the trophies out. If we do this then I will let everyone know when I find my list who those lucky people are and for the people who want to get wrecked and look at pvc dd's they can go on afterwards. I think Warrington would be an ideal location for the venue as trains from there go everywhere for reasonable costs and quite regularly.

Personally i would like to do this as we can all get together and enjoy the evening. My mate is a dj who will sort tunes out if I ask him to and I will make sure he has a variety on the laptop to keep everyone happy but lets face it as long as theres a bar then what more do you want . I havent been out round Manchester yet and Liverpool is a quality night out so as long as I can sort somewhere to stay I wouldnt mind either place. Blackpool is really out of the question for me as I have to much going on to blow a butt load of coin I dont have spare. Plus knowing my luck ill wake up naked strapped to a fkin donkey lmao.

What does everyone think about this option?? I think its a win - win coz everybody is kept happy. Also my apologies to anyone pi$$ed off by my comment about things being changed etc. It was not meant towards anybody in general I had had a sh1t day in work and everything was getting to me. I previously said I had no issues sorting the event out and I stand by that but please instead of everyone shouting stuff out try discussing the options in the vote and we can then sort out the details and if necessary book somewhere for venue or start booking hotels/ b&b's. why dont we sort the vote out so location can get sorted.

 

So you're suggesting two events then?

Manchester, Pub Crawl? Picadilly or Deansgate from 6pm. Not much more to organise there!

And the Warrington thing whenever all the BEAST runners are free.

 

because that will mean there will be only a few at the beast run coz not many people will mant to do both so was trying to find a comprimise

 

almost right do the trophys at the venue and go on from the venue into town if you want to on the same night not two separate things everyone can come them. simples

 

how hard can it be to sort a p*ss up...friday 2nd out getting compleatly twated at the place that wins the vote then just give the trophys out somewere like the tap on the sunday..SORTED :shades:

Alex you seem to have missed my point a little there. Warrington as a location is only a suggestion. The point of my last post was in my opinion the best way to organise the evening so everybody can come ie :- party / trophies at a venue say 7-11 then either home to bed or out round the most voted town. Hence win-win

 

A night out for me usually finishes about 12 Remember that most will be working on Friday so will have been up since 7/8am. I can't imagine who would want to travel again to start a pub crawl at nearly midnight (when you'll be paying to get in places!). Though respect would be due.

Anyway, that's all I have to say. I've voted. I'm up for a pub crawl around Manchester or Wigan (or even Liverpool) in the evening

Right including my mate graham "he hasn't voted yet" there's a running total of 26 people voted. I know a lot haven't yet so can people give a few people a prod and a text please. I'm going to set a dead line for the poll for 11:59pm saturday 29th October. Does anyone have a problem with this coz we need to get it boxed off.

After that time I shall jump back onto th thread stating which area we shall be having it in. My solid thoughts upto now after my Facebook an phone going bazerk is venue then off out afterwards or home if you don't wana go clubbing. Again does anyone have any problems with this. If so then we may have to have a second option of location for venue FOR INSTANCE "furious the bold is not a dig at you just want it to be noticed" Warrington social club 0.75 miles away from pad gate station which has loads of routes to Manchester and Liverpool. This is a few people's preferred option as money is tight and Santa is just round the corner.

Please please please do not just heckle random answers back at this post think, think again, then type. If all starts to go tits up then I will gladly hand the organising to somebody else who wants the stress off my shoulders of trying to keep everybody happy.

 

I feel for you ninjafish. Having been an organiser of events/trips myself over the years I understand your position in all this.
Due to work and other events I can't make this anyway, but reading this thread, well enough said.
Come on folks. You've had a vote on venue, date etc. Get it organised or it won't happen at all!

Yes if people don't want to go they won't , but rather than 12 people going out wouldn't you rather 30 people plus partners go out so it's more social? Please remember there are all age groups to appeal to.

The vote is fine so if it's a pub crawl get on with it and organise it, I for one can't do a pub crawl because it will end up being a min £100 night out.

 

Yea gotta agree if it's a pub crawl it probly gonna be a no from me and the lady. Can't really afford it with recent events. I will be at the venue tho if there is one.

ok there are 765 members on this forum, judging by how many votes there have been, no one is interested anyway! I would think at best 20 people on either idea, Now there is nothing stopping you taking your partners on a pub crawl,it does however mean you cant take kids should you have any. but the down side to a fixed venue is you will defo need a disco,and buffet. they aint gonna pay for themselves!

So you might get a room for free but a disco 100-150 quid 300 quid for a buffet =450 quid now if you divide that cost by the 20 ish people who will turn up thats 22.50 each then you still have transport and beer costs so either way it100 quid night out at best.

Currently there are 11 vots for the second (in the lead)and 14 votes spread accross the other dates, so we'l assume that 14 other people cant do the 2nd, myself included.

if you get a fixed venue you will need to organize it quickly and get everone agree to put a donation in a pot, you would than need someone to collect it,organise it and sort it.

we are SIX WEEKS yesterday from christmas day. a fixed venue is a massive task to organise, much harder than saying see you in the watch makers at 7.30 on the second.

maybe for next year Paul or whoever could see who is actually active regular , and we could have a crimbo club say pound a week for 40 weeks then set a date in JANUARY so everone can book that date off! then Xamount x40 quid could pay for a room,dj,buffet,and drinks so nobody is stuck looking for money in december 2012
