    thanks for info its a good point only downside to my wiring is some previous owner has masking taped all the bloody wiring so lots of fun with that ha

    Masking tape is not a good idea mate. Apart from looking messy it will absorb water in the rain and could then short things out. Insulating tape is better, or even better than that is heat-shrink tubing. You can pick up a mixed size pack at Maplins. All you need to do is cut a piece to size, slip it over a joint or connector and heat it with a hot air gun or hair dryer. The tubing shrinks to a very neat and waterproof joint. Sorted!

    i think its masking tape it could be insulating tape but either way every soddin wire or lead has it on lol. its running ok now although every now and then i have to give it a little throttle to start which apparently may suggest an issue with the carbs but they were set last November. they may need cleaning, im gonna see how it goes don't want to keep creating problems and replacing everything just want to ride it now!!

    Yeah, make the best of the weather and get out on the bike :)
    You can always do the boring stuff when its raining and cold.
