Well I've got the 4 mate and our doz has got the 4s, to me there ain't much different between the 2 apart from Siri which I think is sh*t and the camera is better, I'd never have another brand mate, I've had the Samsung, Nokia and htc's imo they're playing catch up to apple.

Each to their own, but in my opinion HTC are superior to apple... the whole ethos of android is just better... but it is very much an opinion thing... The only thing that I feel apple does better is marketing, and to be fair they are sh*t hot at that, not many companies can touch them

About 12 - 18 months ago I got a HTC Desire HD, and a week later my mate got the iPhone 4... in my view mine is just better... not to say the 4 is a bad phone... that would be a stupid thing to say, they are both good, but I wouldn't (and still wouldn't) swap mine for one... yeah siri is good, but if the main feature of your brand new flagship phone is a piece of software that was previously available on the market until you bought it out... it seems like they're struggling for inovation..

If i HAD to get one right now, I would go for the HTC Sensation XE... cracking phone... a lot of people like Samsung Galaxy S2, a mate and my bro-in-law have one, and they can't really be faulted, but I find the build quality of the HTC just feels better, and HTC also provide HTC Sense which is almost a skin for android which i prefer, but to be fair the samsung is easy to use so it comes down to personal preference...

When it comes time to renew, unless something else rears its head, I will be looking towards a HTC One X... the spec on those things is incredible! http://www.htc.com/uk/smartphones/htc-one-x/ but it is physically quite a big phone

Depending what you want to do blackberry's are still a good phone if your main use of a phone is messaging... but now I'd had a HTC i think i'd miss the extra features

Best thing is just ask around mates who have different phones... give em all a try for an hour or two, and read reviews... with apple it's difficult because people tend to be for (as tomo870) or against (as me)... so it's hard to know what is a biased view... whereas other reviews tend to be more factual rather than perception based...

You're going to start a little geek off here I feel!

All the top phones have pro and cons, and if your used to the iphone and like it, there will be something that will bug you about the other non iphone phone's, so I would get the iphone 4s Daz

had a htc hd2 for a couple of years, knocks spots of the iphone. just got a htc sensation xe on a new contract and again better than the iphone.
apple is all about the hype ;)

i almost went for a nokia lumia, would say it's possibly better than the htc but for some reason i just didn't like the 'feel' of it. good phone though and VERY fast and smooth.

Well I've had a blackberry bold for two years and I'm a year into the new blackberry bold touch. The phone is great at all things , simple etc. but when my contract is up. I'm getting the latest iPhone at that time

It's incredible how in the last ten years how mobiles have developed. I mean only five years ago or so the top phone was a Nokia 3610 !! Lol they give these away now !

Buy a cheap digi camera, a cheap satnav, an annual subscription to Razzle and then get a dirt cheap basic no frills Nokia from Tesco on their cheapest plan.

You've got everything you'll ever use your smartphone for, plus about £300 change to spend on drugs/prostitutes/illegally imported armadillos, etc.

same as m8, i got the desire hd and its fkin awesome.
browsing is faster than my laptop, does everything with a massive screen - the gaming is superb on it with awesome gfx :D
i got a 2450mah battery for it which lasts a day & 1/2 easy and im never off the bloody thing lol.
    made up with it.

best thing was, i went for a refurb instead of paying 3-400 for a fone only for it to fk up a week later... what i got was a brand new fone with same warranty etc - cracking deal from buymobilephones.net

    well worth a look imo.

everyone's raving about the nexus atm... i think if i'd waited i'd have probably gone for that meself...
a few more pluses with the htc though.... you can upgrade the memory unlike the iphone, ive got 16gb in mine atm.... 8mp camera, instant access to apps, google, fb etc... does the lot.

ive been trying to wean myself off the laptop for a few mths now and so far theres not a lot i do on the laptop that i cant do on the desire hd.
like ive uploaded all my service manuals to gmail so i can access them from my fone and with the massive screen its so easy...

and it was free!!! LOL ahahahah

Personally ive been waiting for the HTC one X which is out this week, looks like a big step forward by HTC, although i think the new iphone in september will be a game changer with reports of a new UI, windows phones seem to be too much faffing about for me, and im not a fan of ther UI, First time i had android i hated it, but now i think with ice cream sandwich they have it spot on and im looking forward to getting rid of my shitberry i have now
