Made new tie bars that bolt to the bottom of the motor and the mounts, the motor is totally solid now and fully rubber mounted.

    Just tacked up here
    [IMG]

Then made a little ally bracket which I'm going to rivnut to bolt the front of the tank up.

Did quite a lot of surgery on the subframe to make it mount on the inside of the frame to get the TZ tail to fit. As well as cutting off a load of unnecessary crap. Needs a mounts for the back of the tank and seat.

Threw it together as a bit of a mock up, the tank will be jacked up a bit at the back to close the gap at the front, it was just sat on the shock resi here. Also the seat is just sat on the tail unit, I'll cut the tail out so it fits around the seat which will be bolted to the subframe. Hence why the seat looks too high, but you get the idea

I'm making good progress but there's lots to do and the motor will be eyewateringly expensive to build

Finally got my custom sprocket in the post.

It started as a 530 blank then machined out to go over the carrier, to inset closer to the wheel, then the other side taken back to 520. Only shame is they were supposed to countersink the bolt holes so I could fit countersunk flush allen bolts.. so it's going back for that but I'm keeping it a few days until I've got my alignment sorted. Got a offset front sprocket on the way, then the remaining will be machined off the front face of the carrier itself to being it in line. Plenty of meat on it and by getting this sprocket made it has meant less needs to come out of the actual carrier. Once this is done there will be more clearance as you can see it's all very tight at the mo!
Things like this can be a pain but I'm happy I'm nearly there on this, so as a rolling chassis it works rather than building the engine and then dealing with things like this.
Engine wise I'm hoping to order all the parts in the next week or so and as soon as this alignment is done I can send the cases off to stan stephens for trenching to clear the +7mm crank.

Had some little bits done today
Shock bushes turned down so all fits properly it was just mocked up on washers and was like a dick in a shirt sleeve previously.

Sprocket carrier taken back 2mm and lip chamfered. Sprocket bolt holes countersunk - just ordering some titanium countersunk bolts for these. Also front sprocket spacer turned down 1.5mm, sprockets now aligned as best I can. Also brings more threads through the sprocket but which is a nice trade off.

Couple of little ally spacers, one for rear master cylinder to bolt up to rearset. Had a proper sad anorak moment when I found a bag of bolts the right length to fit this. "Oooooooh". Also a longer tube spacer to mount the front fuel tank mount.

Crank cases are also boxed up and being couriered to stan stephens tomorrow for trenching while I'm at the TT.

Nigel at NK racing, but he only does yam lc/ypvs and RG stuff really. The sprocket was made by talon, what you building?

Just doing a little bit of feteling on a yam 750 genesis engine but keeping it standard though , and putting a r1 rear end on , thats the reason for wanting the off set front sprocket. can get the one I need but would have to get it from USA.

Cases should be back from stan next week. Hopefully my bits will be getting sent from the US soon, he's building my crank now apparently. Booked in for pipes around August 10th.
