did you notice any high speed weaving on the power ones??? daz pointed it out to me after i thought my bearings were going or something,,, apparently its cos the sidewall is thinner than most tyres and the profile changes at high wheel rpm... when they get hot too, they feel like rountrees fruit pastilles lol. bloody grippy though. i had the misfortune to endure a 300 mile ride in the rain with the firestorm lads on power ones.... after about 100 mile i was getting pretty confident in the wet - surprising how much water they will shift considering theyve got the most minimalist tread pattern ever!
Funny you mentioned that, I had sportsmarts on the blade before the sp's and it did feel like the rear comp was a tad harsh.
have only been out on them a few times, not noticed any weaving but still playing with pressures, got them down to about 30psi cold. they are grippy though it has to be said!! even in the wet when doofle decided to take us bloody green laneing they were a lt better than i thought they would be
think they have a stiff side wall so you can run them at low pressures? suppose the best way to describe it is like runflats on a car, seem to feel every tiny lump in the road.
According to the Dunlop website the construction of the rear tyre is stiffer:- "Multi-Tread gives you high mileage and the confidence to push your bike on wet or dry roads, while Dunlop’s unique NTEC system lets you fine-tune the SportSmart’s inflation pressure for totally connected track day performance. For supersport and hypersport riders, the SportSmart is quite simply the tyre you’d design for yourself."
Im stuck with s20's due to a stupid 16" front i think ppls tastes in tyres are like tastes in women, you'll get all sorts of answers.
