When faced with an i justice or difficulty, I find it a morale boost to put the issue in perspective. Rather than get overwhelmed by the issue, looking at other peoples plights helps me appreciate that the problem is actually part of my good fortune. This attitude helped me through some difficult times last year. I was trying to help you get your head in that good place to rightly tackle your problem.
Sorry mate, I try focus on problems in hand that I have control of. If I had to look at other peoples plights my head would spin - again remembering that you can't save everyone. My head is in a good place, and although I've exhausted several avenues, the time has come to seek professional legal advice. Knowing that this forum is frequented lawyers, it was my reason for my original post.
Does the iPhone not work with the car or does the car not work with the iPhone? If you can answer that question then moving forward would be so much easier. Have you got the original advertisements with iPhone compatibility that persuaded you to choose that car in the first place?
Paul,I'd add my two peneth.........but it would be of no help to you so il just say...........thats what you get for trying to be all posh with a bmw.......my little cheap ford works just fine........
interesting. at the risk of chucking out the baby with the bath water here, is it really really worth the expense and hassle of rejecting a car that i assume you are happy with because it wont play the music from a bloody phone ? or are there other reasons you want to return the car ? not as good as you hoped ? more expensive than you expected ? or just on the matter of principle ? if the later then you crack on and best of luck. However if the music issue really boils your piss then perhaps buy an iPod and load that up with your favorite tunes (like band aid) and boogie on down with that, or listen to the wireless or just sing along to drown out the noise from the run flats and impending failure of the tip gearbox (if applicable) Regards - an audi driver with a DSG gearbox (hand poised on wallet / standby)
I had a Ford before, but wanted something slightly more luxurious for the journey fetching my son from Birmingham.
are you serious ? Audi have no concept of the word comfort and are known for being bone crunchingly hard on recent models. and if not spine shatteringly harsh then somewhat detached from the road and a kind of magic carpet type feeling when driving and using the force to steer (A4 and S4 cabrio's) I think BMW make some fine cars and all the cool kids buy new BMW's these days it's no longer the cock mobile from 10 years ago - they all defected to Audi I drive and Audi TT . . . . oh er hang on wait . . . . . . at least mines one of the first TT's and that really does have shit ride "qualitys". but at least i can play my iPhone music (Via the bloody cassette player - greetings from the 80's)
mine is not a S line version, it makes little difference i think pal, all are harsh, levels of harshness i think come down to the wheel and tyre size and how much cushioning the tyres give and insulate the car from shocks. bigger wheels and lower profile tyre = more spine damage
I was lucky enough to have driven both a none sline q7 and sline q7 each for a month and the sline was horrible regardless if it was in comfort mode or sport Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
Yep, my dad bought an A6 2 years back. For 40K the fucking thing was shocking, the amount of times it was in to Audi for tyre/wheel issues! His fucking Scania was more comfortable to drive. Surprisingly it set on fire one night last year just before Christmas.
Back to the topic on hand..... Have you tried using another model phone? Say an Android? Sent from my Sony Xperia Z1 Compact via Tapatalk
I use my phone to play music on long trips to fetch my son (approx 2.5 hours each way). The only radio station that holds signal for the entirety of my journey is Radio 1 - hence the reason for my preference to play music of my choice from my iPhone. Other than the audio issue, I am satisfied with the car. However I am extremely annoyed/agitated at BMW for the way in which my request to have the fault rectified was handled, the insults I've had to endure and the hoops I've had to jump through while I felt they just sat back and played for time. Subsequently, and out of principle, I have asked for the fault to be attended to or I will reject the car. PS It's an auto, but I didn't go for the paddle shift. Being the efficient dynamics model it doesn't have run flats
Walk into said dealership. Ask to see Dealer principal. Demonstrate your iphon not working in your car. Take him to his company car. Demonstrate it working. Take his car until your car is fixed.
