Chain cleaning

    Martins not joking sue Ride the tyre as if it is new and you bedding it in !

    A good nights work then ? One fuked chain ! One fuked tyre and one fuked driveway ! !

    Nothing, they are sealed with grease and if they are nice and greasy the dirt cant get in between the side plates. Clean it and let the grit in doesn't make sense to me, and washing them in degreaser etc is just plain daft it will take all the grease out of the rollers and no way on this planet will a spray of any sort relube it again.

    I just give mine a wipe over get excess gunk off an then a good coating in chain oil

    parrafin/diesel or kerosene what ever is on hand kerosene is about 60p litre if you take a petrol can

    wd40 i also use it on plastics and tank it gives a nice shine

    White spirit and a rag, oil it up good with a decent wet chain lube. Then hand wash her with soapy water. My bikes 18 years old, need to give them panels some tlc and a new paint job soon.

    Good old gunk degreaser. use a spark plug brush if its showing signs of surface rust. brings it up like new (most of you dont ride in shitty weather so wont affect you !!!!)
    Lube with putolene techchain wax. love that stuff.

    I need to do mine this weekend and need a good lube to go with it as the pdl I have been using is sh*t.

    sillicone spray did the job nicely on my old bike... thats what was recommended to me.

    Just a wipe over with an old rag with wd on then spray it back up with lube again.

    Never done owt else

    Well I have just done mine don't know what the stuff was I used I have just bought it from westons.
