Chain cleaning

    What are your opinions on the best thing to clean the chain with ? :)

    diesel.
    cleans verything on your bike. and washes off easy. and is cheap. and smells great.

    Lol used some industrial floor degreaser......and brought it up like a new one :) but melted the drive :lmfao:

    probably fkt the o rings up in the chain as well....

    Technically, you're incorrect, Martin.

    You sit on your bike.

    It'd take a LOT more than just diesel to cleanse you! 100 years of prayers and chanting from an entire Tibetan monastery might come close though! :p

    I use muc off chain cleaner a toothbrush and cotton cloth,

    Paraffin in an old house plant spray bottle and a toothbrush to scrub the muck off ... works a treat, cheap as chips and won't harm your o-rings

    Ha i use autosmart tfr called hazsafe 5 litres cost £17 and it dilutes to 50 muck off bottle guns cleans and leaves the bike and chain spotless if your gunna use diesel for the chain engine use the red stuff its only 60p a litre happy days

    Susan !! WTF have you used ? If it's melted the Tarmac. It will have got the o rings , your looking for an excuse for the gold D.I.D chain ain't ya ?

    Try SDOC-100 Chain cleaner, Muck-off for the rest of the bike

    +1,also use Diesel as well all depends what comes along for free lol

    and probably jellied the compound in the rear tyre.

    i did this with some degreaser, nearly binned the bike cos of it.
    makes the tyre very very jelly and slippy.
    make sure its ok before u ride it.
