clutch is fitted now, and working . fairings have been sanded and wet and dryed, just got a few spots to finish 2moz after filling them again.
just have tank and front fender to prepare.
decided i am going to have to rewire the bike, due to a electrical problem somewhere. should be fun.

 

some new photos for you. fairings off to paint this weekend i hope.
got a new throttle to fit, fit new electrics, new kill/start switch and to fit some paddock stand bobbins, tired of wasting time with the cups.
then just waiting on money to get other little jobs done.
new rear set, clips on, shark fin, screen, maybe get rear shock refreshed.

cheers mate. finished all sanding now .
emptied tank, must of be 3/4 full, weighed a ton.
got some supplies for the electrics.
started work on the electrics, just figuring out which wires go where, only have about 10, so wasn't too bad.
taken carbs and throttle off, have a fzr throttle to go on, so i can have a seperate kill/ignition switch, also carbs and airbox need a good clean.
one of my neighbours is going the clean the whole bike for me, get 18 years of crap off the engine, then help with the wiring.

it is a very dirty k&n filter, any ideas how to clean, heard petrol works.

started on wiring yesterday, for kill switch, on/off and start.
going down to chorley car audio today to get some more wire, for rest of the bike.

 

finished more of the wiring tonight, tank and fairings have now gone for spraying, going to have the tank re coated on the inside, noticed a few spots of flaking paint/rust.
also got some new coils today.
just need to wait for stuff to be delivered, and then can crack on fitting, just booked a week off aswell to help get everything finished.
still got plenty to do.

 

got new kill switch delivered today, so started wiring that up.
talk about confusing, the new switch has 9 wires (2 kill, 3 on/off, 4 start button)
and with no wiring diragram.
the wiring i have on my bike is 2 wires for each function, so i had to figure out all the wires, from the new switch.
about 30mins later all working, with only one problem, no matter what configuration of wires i did with the on/off switch if was opposite, so the switch says off and bike is on. but i will survive.
all connections are tempory for the minute. but will fix them in place soon.

also stripped and seperated carbs tonight, for cleaning tomorrow.
as soon as carbs are clean, going to attempt to fit new throttle.
new spark plugs should arrive either saturday or monday.
fairings are finally being sprayed on monday.

got fairings back today (finally). really impressed with the paint job.
and for the price
just ordered my new screen, about 2 weeks delivery time (hong kong).
need to order a quick release tank, sell some stuff on ebay first.

 

Quick update. Nothing has really happened. Cleaned carbs up and it refused to start. So swapped carbs got it going for a few mins and cut out. This carried on happening.
Got a bloke who said he will have a look at it for me. Should be able to shed some light on it.
But one mechanic has suggested a list of things that could be wrong;
Cam chain tensioners, cams, pick ups, plus a few more. Big pain in the ass ATM. All I want to do is go out on it.

i went, just in the car. would of been nice to ride but nowhere near ready yet.

 

You will get there soon, just a little bit of advice.

Your lock wiring has to go against the thread, what I mean is the lock wire has to be pulling against the thread. The way it looks at the moment your lock wiring on the sump is in the opposite direction, it will not pass scrut like that.

its done, well almost. carbs need balancing due to tickover at 3-5,000.
swapped front ends round again, should be able to afford a new exhaust from money from other front wheel, forks and brakes.
just need to be mindful of time of day, almost got caught out earlier.

carbs just been balanced
had some racetecs k1's fitted
and just rebuilding it now after a good clean, will post some pics later on.
