Load of bollocks if you ask me. That guy was antagonising the police. He was purposely moving slowly, trying to get a rise out of the police, he got one.

just a fuckin joke, that guy should be sacked and done for amn slaughter as paul said, just a disgrace, and these are suppose to be "PROTECTING" us ? looks more like school yard bullying to me, hell the cop even walks around to the back of the other officers after he pushed him over, fuckin pussy clearly dosent want to be caught

    Manslaughter definately.

Death should not be the penalty for moving slowly

you cant even speak out in public with in a 7 mile radios of the house of commmens..

and you think you have freedom of speech...britain is becoming a nanny state.... its a shame on the bloke and the fact that he died just for what walking or even if he did rinse up to the police . the whole thing is just bullshit ..

Some of them love the power and feel they have a right to assault innocent members of the public, I have had it done to me, just because a few of us were a little drunk and daft after a night out and wasnt moving quickly enough away from a pub we were immediately set upon by them, I was dragged to the floor by a 6ft plus officer and held in a very painful grasp. Is this nessasary treatment? I could have been quite easily restrained and not putting up a fight. Nor was I giving them any reason for them to throw the frigging public disorder arrest at me.

Regardless to the fact this man was walking slow, or infact trying to get a reaction from them, he caused no real danger to officers nor did he threaten any violence. They are out of order and should recieve the maximum penality. Let make an example of them like they often do to citizens for minor pathetic offences. Throw the book. :x

Hate the police all you want, you'd be fucked without them. People act like they're not even human...

Dickheads like this officer just add to the bad press. Of course there's laws we all don't agree with - end of the day though you can never please everybody and slate the police all you want they do a good job, its just that most of the time you only see them in the papers/media when it's something negative. The majority of police officers are good men who work hard everyday and frequently put themselves at risk to protect others. Without the police this country would be much, much more of a mess than it already fucking is. If your mum or a family member worked in a post office/shop etc. and she had a gun pressed to her head and the police saved her, would you still hate them? Probably, thats the sort of mentality people have in these times. When you need them they're great, when you dont, they're wankers.

This particular officer is a nob, thats quite clear and i hope they throw the book at him. Stupid to generalise and stereotype though dont you think.

Sorry mate, probably sounded like a bit of a nob then. Title just annoyed me a little, bit of a touchy subject ATM.

    throwback Very Important Person

it could have easily been avoided if he'd just gone home.
i mean tbh , what did he expect? the police are obviously clearing the street , he's been told to move on already, they're coming down the street with shields, batons and dogs ffs. if he wasn't part of the demonstration, why didn't he just walk normally and get the hell out of the way ?
people have got to start respecting the police more.
with all the shit they get every day, and quite often getting a kicking ( remember the cop from manchester? same kind of scenario ) it's no suprise they're on edge.

    Haha no.

My uncle who just died was though and you wouldnt believe how supportive the police were throughout everything. I also know a few of his mates who were police and a friend of his who was also an officer within the counter terrorism division.

thats what he was trying to do, the police blocked a lot of the roads off and even inocent people / nothing to do with the protest could not get out,

it was bang out of order what the Police officer did to that chap, there was no need for it at all even if he was walking slow, so what ?, i hope now someone will pay the price and it does not turn out like that Brazilian fella Jean Charles de Menezes.

i knew there were going to be protests a week before.. how did someone who lived there not realise.. and if you see a load of protesters.. you generally keep clear..

poilce are having things chucked at them and everyones response is that they should just stand there and take it..

    theres no smoke without fire..

The end of the day the guy had just been battoned further down the street so he couldn't really walk much faster than he was. Infact going by the accounts it may have been that he was already having trouble with his heart hence he wasn't able to move faster. Officers are trained to never assume a drunk is a drunk etc. due to the fact that they may actually be in diabetic crisis making them appear drunk. So that officers actions were totally uncalled for since he had his hands in his pockets and his back to the officer!
Having worked for our local force I'm quite happy to say that the majority of coppers are ok although there is a worrying culture of bullying the public and "we know best". Many a time I've heard stories in the break room of arresting Mr. Uledo (for that read Mr. You'll do) because they wanted overtime. I myself have even nearly had my bike taken off me becase I supposedly don't have a licence to ride it even though I was able to produce my pink licence! :banghead: Yes we'd be fu*ked without them but there are some eliments that are bringing the force(s) into disrepute and these need to be dealt with!
