The sterilgarda stickers look alright in the photo here, but in person they look really cheap (Like they're cut out of paper and glued on with a pritt-stick haha. I probably would have kept it if it was done properly but it was really naff in person. The carbon pattern wasn't 3D or textured, just like silver squares painted on. I wrapped the tail yesterday (had to do patchwork haha) it looks bad but no turning back now!
Quick photo with the tail done after a wash. Plan is to wrap the mud guard, tank and nose. Not sure though - I might paint the nose matte black still. Then if all goes well I'll order some galfer discs & new pads...a renthal sprocket & DID chain.
Real good job there dude, i know what ya mean bout stickers looking cheap so probably a good call. You're the best person to judge being able to see it up close but i know that its looking great on the pics and that back end suits in black (wrap?) less is definately more and im glad to see you're not just throwing any old colour coded crap onto it like some young 'uns (a god im sounding old now haha !) keep the pics coming as you mod it more mate
Progress: wrapping/painting... Stripped for final painting/wrapping and a good clean/re-wire oh yeah the scorpion exhaust is new too, had it for a month or two though...new brake pads & HEL braided lines Finally got the bike how I want it, ready for commuting for the next year or so. Poor little 125 is going to be doing 400 miles a week for the next 42 weeks and that doesn't include social use haha...Wonder if the engine will survive...
I'm on it haha theory 13th October... I reckon its a bit sh*t though, I've got a full car license but that doesn't count to anything...I'm thinking having a full car license should let you skip theory at least, maybe even mod 2.
I agree mate I done car theory then hgv theory then bus then motorbike theory. Should be one for car and bike and one for hgv and bus not one each
I believe that there's a big bore kit for them, I'm also sure that the WR 250 engine goes straight in Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Yeah I've seen the 182 and 200cc big bore kits but I don't know if I trust them. They're all in Malaysia and things so I'd rather throw a WR250 engine in if it will fit...
Well I found this online: R6 forks: http://r125forum.com...3092_n-jpg.3454 R6 wheels/brakes/forks/swingarm http://r125forum.com...6496_n-jpg.3457 Guy reckons it will hit 100mph but with all that weight I reckon it will take a while to get there... (only a 200cc upgrade) Akra can too Might sound stupid but I reckon it looks better than a real R6 haha Love the fairings on the R125 they look much more sharp & sleek...R1 and R6 look too bubble-shaped for me.
Why change the forks and wheels? It will slow it right down and it will be a pig to handle ? Leave them well alone it won't make it go any faster but get that wr250 engine and exhaust. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Hard to tell from the photos but before I wrapped it in black carbon it was already blue carbon with the sterilgarda stickers on it Those decals weren't lined up properly and had a white background...overall it just wasn't done properly. I can see your point though, quite often I look back at pictures and think "hmm, it did look nice blue" haha The main advantage from doing it is that I now know the job is done properly (minus a few bubbles and folds that I've tried to hide ) But yeah I agree...I won't be wrapping any more bikes, in future it will be the real deal or something completely different. I've actually been meaning to throw an idea together in photoshop...Gold & White speedblock up the sides like all Yamaha bikes should have
