Not so much as a mod but bad maintenance, putting the front wheel on and not slipping the disc into the caliper correctly. Then tightening the back drum brake up so it would work.....I got a far bit of distance before I realized that the front brake doesn't work and if I even try and touch the back brake the wheel would lock, played a fun game of chicken with my self.
I once put northwestbikers.net stickers on a bike. People may have associated me with you lot...........
Mocking up a pannier set, I put a support strut across through the wheel. Realised my error before any harm was done.
I extremely modified a gilera runner engine to the capabilitys of 115 mph Filled blue lights to my bandit and went round pulling dicks over Had a speedfight 100 and painted the headlight black with hamerite then sprayed it black and then got a gold glitter spray amd went at it....all put a loud can on bandit and rsv but that ones not silly
you nearly got me with that on the way back from three sisters in the dark. Only realised it was you when you flew alongside. nob head lol
Well should you really be telling us about your dogging experiences? Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
I put a Dan Moto exhaust on the 250r, you could hear me a mile away... was a very silly mod as I had to grind the old one off and do a patch up job on the link pipes. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk 4
First thing I had as a kid was an old scooter, I used to ride it on the fields. The throttle cable broke so I disconnected it and had it over my shoulder but gripped the free end on the bars. I used to go faster by kind of shrugging lol. Rode like that for ages and then the clutch cable went too, so I would do a running start, ram it into gear and lasso myself with the throttle cable. It sounds funny now, but that kind of stuff taught me loads and has got me home in broken vehicles once or twice since
Not mine, but someone Cabernet knows, fitting Krauser K1s to his BMW R80 thought they were a bit unstable and wanted to fit bracing struts from the side carriers to the lower shock mounts..... Tried (successfully) to cary a full size composter bin home on the back of my GT550 on a windy day. Have to try and remember, maybe dig around and see if there are old photos to remind me.
In the early 90's, when anodised bolts were the rage, I swapped the brake caliper bolts for some rather fetching blue anodised bolts. Fortunately a mate with a bit more common sense advised me how ally bolts had next to no real strength and would have probably sheared off the first time I'd used the brakes in anger!!!
Was that you i thought someone spiked my coffee and I was being chased by a golden tree Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
