USD forks on an old Goldwing

    Can only help the handling and braking. I remember riding a friend's GL1000 that had the full Vetter fairing and luggage set on. Was lovely on a smooth surface and both hands on the bars but horrible if you took either hand off or on a rough surface. Think that was bacause it had nothing but an unbraced plastic mudguard between the bottom yoke and wheel spindle. Think it was still on the original (ie about 20 year old at the time) Fade Very Quickly shocks at the back.
    Lovely comfortable riding position and smooth torquey engine though. Gearbox smooth as silk after being used to a Guzzi!

    Sounds about right, upgraded the rears to adjustable coils last year-improved the ride loads but means the final drive fouls the non-standard exhausts a little-another mods needed before the rebuild.

    Need to find a good, cheap, local, vinyl wrapper to recover the side panels. Awaiting a quote off a members father off here but if all else fails a few recommendations wouldn't go a miss :)

    Im after some vinyl wrapping too so let me know how you get on will. Got my nc30 tank to do and some panniers for the vfr800
