If that post from JIM is correct, the police have not acted correctly, by not following up all the evidence from all the parties. There is no way the JP will just sit and listen to five statements from the other lads mates! the crash investigator should also be in attendance to give his evidence too. If this scooter lad just pulled out on you, he is obviously liable and the crash investigating officer should easily be able to recognise this from tyre marks . collision positions etc Finally why are you expecting a ban for this ? if you were speeding or had no insurance / licence mot etc , yes, they will throw the book at you
