Just put you in my little book, " Friendly Bike Welder - liverpool" ,handy i only live in Huyton. Ha.
I don't mind doing jobs like that for some people Mike but when you get people who don't know how to weld trying to tell you how to do it I get my back rite up Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
I've got an ARC and just picked up a MIG 150 welder this week needed some repair but works OK now, only done brazing before. So I'm learning now feed and speed etc, I'm running out of test pieces. I'd put some pics up but I'd hear you laughing from here. I MIG'ed some 3mm angle before realising I should have ARC'ed it.:bang: Back to topic, get it done proper Smudge. It's just fracture again without a decent job done.
Put some up for a laugh see how many seagulls were flying over when you picked up the torch Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Transport to Liverpool and back cost 20 paying avfew beers looking at 30-40 Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
We're not questioning your conclusion, but there's a way of saying it... 'thanks for the offer, but I didn't realise the cost of getting there and back, so I'm sorry for faffing you about but I'll have to leave it... Thanks again' Live Forever or Die Trying
Thats unquestionably rude! The bloke offers to help you out and you throw it back like you was doing him a favour?
as someone that has actually used the captain to do some welding for me, i can tell you that £30 to sort that is a bloody bargain! (of which all he will see is a crate of cans) his work is excellent. each to their own though.
I don't give a crap if you can afford it or not. You don't turn down somebody's help like that. It's rude! End of discussion smudge.
