Actually just to get depressingly back to topic. In 2008 I had a stressful summer, in the space of four weeks we had a baby, baby had a serious health scare (abscess on her head), older child became ill and was eventually diagnosed with juvenile arthritis and we moved house. At the end of this period with child 1 in Wigan hospital and new baby at home, my mentalist (and extremely jealous, both on a professional and personal level) boss tries to put me through a false disciplinary accusing me of things I hadn't said or done and of mistakes that weren't mine. When it all came out it was a management plot to get rid of a number of people without paying them off, I was just a victim of it. What shocked ME I that anyone could be that fucking callous and just downright evil to shaft a member of staff while they are travelling between staying in hospital with a sick 2 year old and trying to support his wife with a month-old baby. Took me quite a while to get over that.
