It is actually both, front lightly first then firmer as you add the rear up to a 50/50 split. In the dry the same but more bias to the front. How much varies from bike to bike and load.

Yeah, I was told on my CBT to use the back as if you lock that you can recover easy but if you lock the front in wet you're going down.

And if you snatch at the front in the wet you will and even more so on cruisers where the weight is rear bias.
However, by progressively applying pressure on the front, the bike will pitch forward, transferring more mass on to the front, spreading the tyre, giving more grip, so allowing you to apply more pressure, the bike will pitch forward more, transferring more mass on to the front, spreading the tyre, giving more grip, so allowing you to apply more pressure, the bike will pitch forward more, transferring more mass on to the front, spreading the tyre, giving more grip, so allowing you to apply more pressure and so on. You certainly should have been taught this in you CBT.

I got this DVD last month to do my practicing with. It covers both car and motorcycle tests. The multiple choice questions, fantastic, you can review which ones you got wrong etc. But the Hazard Perception on the DVD is about 10x harder than it is on the actual test. I failed every single hazard perception mock test I sat on it, I got to the point where I was dreading doing my actual test. My driving school have their own website which has a much more realistic mock hazard perception test. Also the AA have one on their website too, I just searched AA Theory Test.

I would recommend the CD for just the multiple choice questions. The Hazard Perception bit is too rediculous.

I passed mine today anyway. 48/50 for multiple choice an 65/75 for hazard perception

    Good luck!

When I did my theory the first time around (I only did the car one) I just bought the book with all of the questions and read it cover to cover at work, twice.

It made sense to get paid!

That was the only revision I did and when I came to do the questions I remembered most of them as I was reading them and passed first time.

When I did my bike one, as I had already been driving and I couldnt be arsed with the whole revision thing I just went straight in and passed.

Now I'm a bit of a mong to be fair, so if I can get through I'm sure you will be fine!

Also, reg mod 1 - you'll rince it! Youre already riding so should be a piece of piss!
