At what Point in my post did I say that all integrated lights would fail??? Have u even read it properly?? Let me help you understand it ....how about the use of colours to seperate the different things you are trying to pick me up on?! I have said having all the lights built into the cluster is ok (see blue txt below) Even went as far to say that the particular lights the OP had linked were the ones I was directly refering to!!! (see green txt below) Any Tester that fails a vehicle "just to be an arsehole" deserve's to be struck off, and VOSA makes the ability to have every test subjected to appeal. If the tester is deemed to to have made a judgement "just to be an arsehole" then he would be disciplined accordingly.

You were obviously trying to pick holes in my post.....

I see dougall understood what I ment

To drag it back on topic. :)

I had an integrated rear light on my old Hornets and they passed the MOT no problem (Honda Main Dealer), police didnt pull me, and I went through the dreaded Wales a lot. :)

Mine was definately illegal, the packaging said so and the website said so. Not sure on the reason, but it was.

For visibility the one I used was fine, been followed by a few on here and they said it was clearwhere i was going
Sun on it was a problem, but no more than the current trend of using clear plastic LED lights

Only reason I havent put one on my current bike is that it has hazard warning lights, so it would just be a solid Yellow light at the back flashing on and off. :)

Well thanks all for the facts and opinions. There'll always be a copper that knows best and not worth the trouble or time of day to argue, then there's the insurance that could try and void you off if something happed so defiantly going with indicators.

    Thanks

I had one of these set ups planned for my Street Triple, BUT !!!!!! My biggest concern was not wether I would get pulled up or if it would cause MOT issues, rather if I had to make an insurance claim and the modification would cause problems. Consider this. A Cage hits you from behind and the driver claims being confused by or didn't recognise the light sequence. Claim thrown out.?

This reminded me of something. The MOT tester said "Those indicators are a bit short. You can hardly see them peeping out from behind your number plate." I told him not to worry, I only use that plate once a year.... :)
