Soaked it in WD40 and went playing snooker instead. I've got some 3x2 across the swingarm so the wheel doesn't move, no need for rear brake. I've done loads in the past and never had this before, I've checked the thread and anti clockwise is the way to go. Will an impact wrench do the job my 15 stone can't? If it will has anyone near to Oldham got one I could borrow with a 32mm socket?
what length bar are you using? also wood is soft, small bar through brake disc hole and let it rest on the calliper.
+1 We did the same with my mates bike (an er6n). Length of scaff pole, and a couple of good knocks with a copper hide mallet on the socket head. no need to be so tight. but that did the trick.
What a great guy Cabernet is. He turned up at my house after work and together, with engineering principles, heat and brute force, the nut is now off the bike. Battle wound on my thigh from when it snapped
My pleasure Stueo. Many others past and present would have happily done the same for you if they could. Hope to catch you on a ride-out sometime. Hope the bruise mends soon.
