Any ideas on loosening the front sprocket nut on an SV650?

I'm pretty sure I've straightened the washer, I've had a breaker bar with an extender on the nut, with my 15 stone balancing on it. All that happens is the 3x2 jamming the back wheel gets chewed into :(

Is that anti clockwise as you look at it?

Never thought has it got some silly reverse thread?

Get the Mrs to apply the back brake.
Also, use a block under the extension bar to the floor.
    PM sent.

Yea its a bastard Ive had to have an impact gun on it the last two times I've done them.

And as above yes it is a reverse thread so clockwise to loosen

Note he fitted a rivet link chain, however WtF was a split link doing on a bike like that in the first place?

Split should only be used on low torque engines. However the noobs find them much easier to fit

its a std thread woody, anti clockwise to loosen as you look at the nut.
The easiest way to tell a thread direction on a rotating part is to see which way the shaft spins. usually (99% of the time) you undo a nut by going the same way as the rotation. this way any load on the part (the sprocket in this case) will only tighten the fastener (nut).

Hmmmmm i seem to remember it being an opposite thread tho

You can undo it clockwise, with enough force, however you wont be able to get a nut back on. Lol.
    Check the vid

    Some engine internal?

I think it's one of the main engine mounts. Defo not internal I'm thinking of.

I think it's one that I had to use a special tool for.
