It's just a case of a permanent front and back guy, all that happensthen is second guy waits at next turn off till back guy catches up, they can always speed off through the pack again, as long as next guy stops at next turn off, and so on. . Luckily I knew where we was going, otherwise xj would of been fucked Luc
It's a great easy, common sense technique, until some half-wit gets bored and blasts past the front! Last year, I was asked to lead back from The Tap to the Carousel. I was in the left hand lane going through the tunnel, to take the dock exit, when someone went tear arsing through, those behind were looking for where the lead bike went.... Luckily we all met up at the carousel in the end, but it makes you question sometimes what flavour the windows are in some peoples lives!
Had the same happen to me last year... Caught up with some other bikes so to prevent confusion at the junction a few miles on I sat behind them. Suddenly 5 or 6 of our group flew by me, and sped off.. I think we lost one permanently and the others eventually made it to the pondy. One day they'll get it !
Yep agree with rob and chas , it just needs discipline Up in Scotland last year ,all new tourers , never been outside of Lancashire I think !,,, I told them all , I will lead I knew the route should you come past me and sod off , I will deliberately turn off and lose you , up here in the wild with man eating bears ! No Fuka came past lol In fairness to all the riders that came , ride discipline was superb , we all set off together and arrived together ... The drop off system is the best one out there and it works great , but you have to be disciplined and use it
That's cos you were doing 194 Dave... Glad you all had a good day didn't make it to the Bridge due to a late start and breaking down on the M6!!! Definitely next time
Best ride out of the year by 239.8 miles - Door to Door, so far....... it incorporated a ferry journey, Cheese Burger and Chips at 1500ft, Brilliant Weather, Some Brilliant Roads and Stunning Scenery.......all of which topped by a great group of the finest chaps one would wish to meet. Mark / Phil.............Helmet off to you both....very well organised.... Bob, Myself and Danny diverted onto the M6 at Blackpool otherwise we would still be on the A6 - good decision too as I had the M62 all to myself once Danny jumped off at Warrington on the A49.....I will say each ride out brings a degree of confidence in my riding ability.......and the GSXF did not disappoint .......as for the M62..........varooooooooommmmmmmm.......the youtube videos are correct........... (Naturally of which your honor, I remained within the national recognised speed limit....:angel Roll on the good weather.... Cheers Paul.
