Lakes Run, meeting Tickled Trout 9am onwards, leaving 9.45 prompt, no later. Up the A6 to Kendal through Lancaster, Carnforth, Milnthorpe. Onto A590 towards Barrow to Texaco garage at Newby Bridge. Take the low road to Bowness. Just before Bowness cross to Far Sawrey on the ferry. Ride to Hawkshead, up to The Drunken Duck & Tarn Hows over to Coniston. From Coniston, ride the back road over to Ambleside and up the struggle to The Kirkstone Inn. Down the back end of Kirkstone Pass, into Windermere, down into Bowness. Onwards to Kendal over Crook Road, pick up A65 to Crooklands and onto Devils Bridge. At Devils decisions can be made as to which way anyone wishes to head back. I realise people may be coming from different locations and may have to be back for different times. Some might want to pick up the motorway and head home, some might want to continue back down to the Trout on the A roads, easiest way I can put it is to do a time check at Devils and go from there. Stops - Tickled Trout. Fuel, coffee, breakfast, natter etc then depart Texaco Garage A590. Fuel (for me anyway!) Ferry (will need coins) Tarn Hows. Photos, quick smoke for smokers. Coniston (if anyone wants photos, can continue if everyone wants) Kirkstone Inn. Lunch, drink etc. Main stop :hungry:. Green in Bowness. If anyone wants an ice cream or feed the ducks :laugh:. Crooklands. Fuel. Devils Bridge. As you can see, plenty of stops for photos and refreshments. Varied mix of roads, clear visor advisable. As always, anybody is welcome and 125/Learner friendly. From Trout back to Trout about 180 give or take. That's going from Devils, down to Caton and back through Lancaster down A6 :thumbsup:.
