Would that not affect the mpg quite dramatically? I'm just after a little extra pull for when i'm 2 up, nothing major, planning on getting an Mt-03 or an F800 later in the year, so i'll be leaving those for playtime haha.
i first went to 42 rear and then 44, with the 44 i now get an extra 10 miles before the fuel light comes on. have put lighter wheels on as well but they wouldn't make that much difference.
+10 over oem parts? Or +10 over the 42 rear? If you mean over the oem sprockets i'm pleasantly surprised! Seems to weigh in favor of going down a tooth on the front and up 2 on the rear to see how it goes, pehaps +4 if i feel it needs a bit more kick, i have a feeling its going to be a little bit of trial and error with this haha.
not me no wheelies and no breaking solid white lines, those are the two things that you've got just about no chance of talking your way out of if plod catches you
Right, seems like i'm going to do a bit of trial and error here, just -1 on the front first, then +2 on the rear if i dont feel happy (and so on). I don't fancy buying ebays finest as it has a habit of being cheap tat, where would you suggest as a good place for them? (Going to go for a new chain once i've decided on the correct sprocket set up for me.)
I went -1 on mine, I got it from a seller on eBay called banditrob12 £9 for a renthal front sprocket cheapest by far for my bike on eBay
