Used to do 6-2 2-10 shifts yrs ago , did 6 ish months and ended up like a freakin zombie , not good not good at all , shift work to me is not worth the extra cash in the long run , not for your health anyway. :meh:
sometimes we do a week on nights followed by what they call an afternoon shift 5pm to 3am!!! that's another night shift as far as I'm concerned.
im awake at 7 am , climb out of bed when i want ,normally 730am , get to the job or office for 830am , home at 430am latest , i dont think i could handle 2 am starts these days , respect to you guys who do that ,,, if im flying off somewhere i try to go as early as poss so im back that day on the last flight .
Much prefer night shifts, left alone and no office wankers to deal with. Unfortunately new job isn't nights so plenty of smoke breaks to keep the stress levels down.
Right, who does what on these shifts ?. I'll go first, shift supervisor in the print industry. And yes I'm on nights again.
I've been doing shift work since 1995 ! It's shit the only shift I've felt half alive is working 8.4 shift which didn't last long enough ,
