    TYRE STATS

Wednesday morning - shiny new rear tyre fitted for the Scotland trip....rode up to Inveraray, some wear noticable.

Thursday, rode Glen Coe, the Scottish TT down to Mallaig, Skye and on to Inverness.....tyre 2 days old & 35% worn

Friday, rode to John O Groats, on to Scourie, more sedate pace today....tyre now 50% worn

Saturday, Scottish TT again to Ullapool and on to Inverness, Fort William then Oban.....trye now going through its wear limit marker and 97% worn after just 4 days of riding.....OMG these Scottish roads are grippy....but wearing.

Sunday, a little bit of Scottish TT from Oban to Inveraray, then sedate pace to Dunoon. Tyre inspection on the ferry made me depressed as still a few hundred miles to go back to Chester. Nursed the trye home on the motorway.....another inspection proved it's totally fooked!!!!!!

Called my tyre man this morning, told him to order me another rear tyre.....he thought I was having a laugh.....unfortunately I am not.

The main difference between the ZX10r and the R1 is I usually get about 2000 miles out of a rear on the ZX.....but the R1 does about half that.

Just got home as I set off early and and everyone was still in bed.

Trip from Dumfries was 148 miles and fuel light still not come on. Not bad!

Id liketo thank Dave for organising each days riding for iur very special band.

Id also like to thank all the specials for a great 5 days riding and for making me feel normal compared to you bunch of tards!

Lets do it again, but not too soon as I ache a bit and me gonads are so full its like walking round with 2 medicine balls between me legs. Poor joyce is gonna be walking like john wayne for the next few days at least.

Thanks everyone for the excellent company, sensible riding ;) Winky for leading over the tops and especially Sue for coming up with the idea in the first place :)

I'm cleaning the bike then putting it away until August, my arse feels like it's done a 5 stretch in an all male prison - with some particularly macho lifers :0
