If there was a bolt holding it in surely it's removable

Ok this is what you do see the lip on the baffle grip it with a pair of plyers and pull till you fall over and baffle in hand. It does pull out just some get stuck

Try turning it and pull all Google post I find say it comes out easy or its a bast####

Tie string to baffle tie string to post and pull revs all way back and let go clutch. Presuming you've already engaged gear

    Slide hammer, well sort of.

Get a length of threaded bar 10 or 12mm a deep socket and some nuts and washers.
Fix a washer to one end with the socket free to move at the other and a nut to stop it flying off.

Get the washer to hook under the end of the baffle and then slide the socket.

This is how I get mine out.

Mine are very similar and the slide hammer method works fine.
Just hook washer on the at the end (top on photo).
Using pliers can distort the shape and make them harder to remove.

That is gonna sound awesome on the XJ6.

Might be selling a few XJ6 bits soon if the R6 upgrade goes ahead...will be the folding adjustable levers and maybe the braided front hoses. Will let you know if you're interested?

take the can off and get a bar in from the back and tap it from the back end with a hammer or the weight of the bar, if you want to avoid damage tape up the end of the bar first.

I had a mere getting mine out.
Remove the bolt and spray a load of WD40 around the baffle and let it soak in.

If you can remove the can do so and push it out from the bottom, I cant do that on my pipe as its curved so you wouldnt fit anything up to push it.

Mine just wouldnt budge with pliers or anything else i tried. I gave the baffle a tap inwards with a hammer just thought id shock it free. Anyway i noticed the bolt hole wasnt lined up any longer. All t did was put a long flat head screwdriver into the hole ( be very careful you only have the thickness of the baffle dont go into the threads in the exhaust )
The bolt on mine is at the bottom the exhast and had my screwdriver straight up in the air resting against the exhaust top as a lever i put something on the exhaust so i didnt mark it. Couple of taps the baffle came out.
Its not that easy to explain so if you dont understand what im trying to say let me know and i will take a photo with will explain a lot better.
