Won't be out in Wales mate. MET forecase shows heavy rain/storm in Wrexham and Bewts-Y-Coed at 1pm and light rain either side at 10am and 4pm. Clear skies and sun all day in Preston, Skipton & Penrith. North it is. Not travelling to the bad weather Should be setting off from Tickled Trout (Preston) at 11:30am if anyone wants to join.

Just got in 6pm what a great ride out we've been everywhere the weather was awesome really warm and the lads from manc and Huddersfield are still out so have a safe run over to mac guys. Martin let me have the link to them videos
Oh dear it's happened again, every time Martin comes to Wales his bike fails !!!! Apparently this time his chain broke near Whitchurch, so let us know u got home ok pal?

Hi lads, heard you lot talking bout this forum today so thought I would register and say hi. Good to meet you lot today, thanks to Daz for sorting that route, you picked some mint roads. Was a quality ride out apart from losing Kev and martin's chain :-( Does explain where he went though, when we were driving I was asking Sean if he had gone home another way and i think we decided he must have... Hope to see you lot again on a ride out soon. Chris
welcome ziggy m8... good bunch here and as you have seen they actually get out on the bikes lol - well most of them!! :lol: had a great day today and looking forward to another day out but doubt i'll be on the firestorm for a bit my fail (thats not me btw, thats the dibna-esque recovery chap, who is an ex rider himself and ex storm owner) fkin chain snapped as i pulled out of a roundabout one of the side plates on the chain failed but looks to me like the rivet has been hanging by a thread for a while... couldve happened anytime tbh but thankfully didnt happen on a fast bit. *thats not rust & shite on the chain btw - it's ptfe / graphite dry lube i thought it had just come out of gear until i pulled the clutch lever in and it went straight to the bar with no resistance, then looked down and saw the hugger in bits... also a chunk out of the tail fairing and left can... but the shitter is the fixing lugs have braoke off the left crankcase, smashed to buggery where the sprocket cover and slave cyl goes on so unless i can ally weld it back together it's a new engine job or at least a new LH cranckase & rebuild. can't really see the extent of the damage on the pic - i'll have to strip it all tomorrow and see whats what negative - i have a brand new chain & sprocket set in the garage but hadnt bothered fitting it cos this one had loads of adjustment left. positive - my breakdown recovery expires at midnight tonight - how jammy was that! if anyone has a scrap vtr engine with a good crankcase can you drop me a pm? * & chaps who attended, i'll pm you links to vids once its reviewed & uploaded - dunno how much i got as my batteries went, but got some good twisty action
