So...it's now 24hrs later, has the driver made a statement?

Going back to Rob's comment, the party has to wait for 'a reasonable time'. In this case seeing as a bike got written off and he rider demolished a wall with their head, shouldn't he have waited until the police arrived??

Wow, hope the lads ok! Ive read all the comments, IMO the bike moves for the overtake fractionally before the car!! Just very unfortunate timing i feel!

Very unfortunate accident. The driver is definitely at fault, had he indicated the rider could have at least had the opportunity to hit the anchors.

Very lucky he's only got a fractured skull imo! GWS!

Just read this on Jim's fb and thought it was our newrider i am so relieved that it is not one of our own i went sick when I saw the video.

Fractured skull is not necessarily a minor injury I really hope the rider makes a full recovery. I am also pleased that the driver exchanged details before moving off I read Jim's post as a failing to stop, In fairness if he stopped and exchanged details it may just have been that he was in shock , bad move but it must have felt terrible to be responsible for that

To be fair I was comparing a fractured skull to death judging by the way he hit the stone wall!

main thing to watch out on that road is some nob tear arsing it the other way.
    cager or biker.....
bike on bike is not nice.
someone was saying the lad has a fractured skull and the driver has since admitted liability and been charged?

i would say probably the video evidence had a lot to do with the quick result there.
if you do have a vid cam its well worth having it set to 15 min loop

Driver admitted liability. He said he checked his rear view mirror but not his wing mirror and didnt do a shoulder check. He saw the bike closest to the camera and assumed that was the only one.and booted it. Drivers being charged for dangerous driving i think.

Also in the drivers defence, he didnt blane the biker. First thing he did was stop and run over to see if the guy was okay and he did stay around for a while. Like i said before though, if i was in his shoes i would have waited for the ambulance

i have been along that road a few times and it is the only road around where i live that truly scares me, at 1st i thought it was just because i wasn't used to it but after a fews times going along i realise its just a shit road although i have since found a few great road literally 2 mins away form it
