So I have the arrow slip on's fitted. With the baffles in they are too quiet, and with the baffles out they give me a friggin headache. I was thinking about creating a middle ground by gradually increasing the size and /or quantity of holes in the baffles to give me the sound I am looking for. I'm right in thinking this won't cause any issues ?
just ride wearing earplugs does that not reduce the din ? i know what you saying re the middle ground noise good point
Chris, I've got loads of ear plugs as I buy em 200 pairs at a time. I can give you some to see if that makes the difference. Just PM me and we'll sort it out.
I've got earplugs, the ones I use on the pit wall for the F1 keep all the noise out, but I want to enjoy the sound of my bike so a middle ground has to be found. I will have to modify the baffles gradually until I am happy
you could leave the baffles out and get some cheapo db killers off ebay or mtc, theyre only 10-15 quid
when i changed the exhaust on my gsxr it was too loud for me at first headache etc but after a while you get used to it, just bear it for a while then make your mind up
You should be riding with ear plugs in anyway! Decibels aren't just about volume, they're to do with the pressure wave generated. At around 40 mph, the noise/pressure around a bike lid is around the same number of decibels that is produced when a Jet airliner takes off. This level is more than capable of damaging your hearing so wear ear plugs! Hear endeth the lesson.
If i dont wear earplugs i cant concentrate, a bit like riding with headphones i find it too distracting
